A Question... (Perfect timing for my BA!!)
Hi Girls
Well my BA is in 2 days!!
And I come on my period yesterday, perfect timing eh?
Stupid question but will they still do it?
Can I wear a pad/tampon during the op??
Thanks  xx

I didn't have my period on my BA day but I did ask that question to my ps and he said yes, you can still have te op on your period... I didn't ask about pads or tampons, so maybe call your surgeon, nurse or patient coordinator and they'll be able to tell you. Maybe they provide special pads? who knows....

Hiya
I randomly came on the night before my ba and I was allowed to wear a tampon no probs. They wrote it in my notes, so make sure you tell them, but don't worry, you'll be fine.
I'd take towels too in case they're fussy but they weren't with me. I was allowed my own knickers too, not the paper things!

I'm not sure hun, take pads and tampons with you and ask the nurse or your ps when you get there which is better xxx

I've been under GA twice and for my wisdom teeth removal I was on. Had to take my tampon out and wear a pad.
I think it's something to do with infection and TSS.
