Rippling
Hi ,
I had ba last September 2009 with Mr. Topping at Mybreast. The implants were textures inspira soft touch, partials, which are supposed to have a lifetime guarantee. I went from 34b-34dd at his recommendation. I'm 5'6" and when I had the ba I weighed 55kg, I have lost some weight (unintentionally) and now weight 50kg. In the last few months I have noticed when I lean forward I can feel ripples on boths sides of my breast, however the ripples are not really visible. I was really upset at first and went to see my consultant about it. He said he had seen at lot worse and that massaging my breasts may help. Does anyone think this is likely to help? I asked him if he though my weight loss may have anything to do with it, and he said, probably yes, as there is less breast tissue. I keep trying to put on weight, but even when I put on 2 kg the rippling was still there, and I don't want to eat unhealthily. Also when I feel under my breasts it feels quite bumpy and I can easily feel the edge of the implant. Is there anything I can do? Do you think I could request revision surgery for this problem? Sorry if this question has been asked before, but I would really appreaciate some advice. J. XX

Hello lovejojo and welcome to the forum
I'm presuming you had overs? Losing weight will have an effect on your breasts as your surgeon said and can cause a little rippling as you describe, but as long as it isn't visible I wouldn't worry about it hun, a lot of ladies have what you describle when leaning forward, it's quite common as is being able to feel the edge of the implant under the breast.
I should imagine unless the rippling was really visible you would have a hard time getting a re-op babe. When your surgeon performed the surgery the breasts were fine? and then when you lost weight you started to notice the rippling? It's really up to you to maintain your weight hun, that is't the surgeons fault - But there are always sympathetic surgeons out there and it's always worth a try if you're very unhappy hunni. xxx

Re: Rippling
Thanks for the quick replies! I will try to put on weight and see if it helps. I guess there isn't much chance of having a re-op as the rippling isn't visible, as you said. Do you think having smaller implants would reduce the chance of rippling though?
