rippling

Good afternoon.
I was just wondering if you could help me please and I apologise, I am going to post this to all 3 surgeons on here, as I'm trying to get as much info and advise as possible.
Basically, I have extremely bad rippling all over the top of one breast, even when in upright position, and with a bra on. I do have it in the other, but only very slightly round the sides, which i can deal with as its only when I lean over. It is really getting me down so I went back to the company and saw another surgeon as my surgeon has left the company. I was told nothing at all could be done, and was sent away with the advise "put some weight on". Which, unfortunatly isnt really an option for me as i really struggle to gain weight. I am the same size/weight as i was when i had surgery. i have 340cc implant over the muscle, i was 32b and slightly empty pre-op. Another problem i discussed with him, was that i am still experiencing a high amount of discomfort/tenderness with the breast with the rippling, and now and again i have shooting pains, despite having the surgery over 18 months ago. I was told this was due to the rippling, and nothing could be done. I was told not to worry, and again, told to gain weight.
Is there something that can be done for with regards to the rippling? and is the pain/discomfort i;m experiencing from the rippling?
I did go back about this to my original surgeon 6 months after the op, and was told to wait at least 12 months til its fully settled then come back and he will sort it. Little did I know, he was actually leaving the company.
Thank you for your time.

Re: rippling
Hi stef...sorry to hear your having problems. Im no expert but maybe they should have foreseen this problem before surgery. It doesnt seem fair to be advising you to gain weight now. I am pretty much like you, I really dont gain weight at all and have been pretty much the same weight all my adult life (except during pregnancy)...my original surgeon recommended i try and gain a little weight before surgery to achieve a better result...he also advised me i would be prone to rippling, even with unders.
In my mind it seems you would have been better with unders...hope you get this problem sorted...x

Re: rippling
i would take it up with the company you went with if they were the ones who advised you to have overs. It sounds like you need a different placement

Re: rippling
i did ask why i couldnt change to unders and they said cos i would need an uplift....well,they have just given me an option there after telling me there was nothing they cud do..and in my opinion, they should do that without charge, as i wasnt given this option pre-surgery. if i'd of known id of had a better result with uplift and unders, i'd of chosen that, but they didnt!

Re: rippling
Maybe they will be willing to compromise and offer you the uplift and placement change with a lot of money off. I doubt they will give it for free hun. Elite member means you have posted a lot on the forum
Re: rippling
I would think if you have visible rippling on your breast even when wearing a bra then that would class as a complication & you should shorly be offered a re-op to correct the complication & have the implants moved to unders.
if he has told you to ' put weight on ' then you clearly didnt have enough 'weight to cover the implant in the 1st place & should have had unders! really bad rippling is a complication & people normally get it if they are thin uptop or have little breast tissue to cover the implant & hide the ripples which naturally happen to all of us its just wether we have enough tissuse or 'weight' to cover the ripple effect so you cant see it.
if i was you id go back & argue that fact that you were the same weight pre-op as you are now & that putting weight on as a result of having overs with little to cover the implants leading to bad rippleing is not a cheep way out of doing something they should have done correct the 1st time round!
the cheek of him to say that! i would have gone made if he said that to me & would have said that if i was too thin then why didnt they do unders?
At the end of the day this bad rippling you have could have been a lot better had they done unders on you & putting weight on is a joke.
stay strong hun :console:

Re: rippling
Totally agree with Crystal stef, I went with Transform and my surgeon wouldnt even entertain the idea of overs cos i am so thin, i even tried talking him round ha ha.
Cant believe your surgeon didnt EVEN suggest unders to you if you are thin with little breast tissue :(
Hope youre okay
