Re: infection
its on of those things babe, i am a very clen person and i still caught and infection. just kept ur pnikys away from ur scars and if u are to touch them us some anti bacterial gel first. they give u leaflets when leaving hospital for infection control so have a read through that and see what that advises. but i personnaly think its just one of those things. good luck with ur re-op hunny. are u just going bigger?? xx

Re: infection
Unfortunately an infection is just one of the risks we take when having this surgery hun and aside from not smoking and keeping the wounds clean there isn't anything else you can do to avoid infection.
I did everything right and still got an infection, but thankfully it cleared up with a course of anti-bs. xx

Re: infection
do you really think smoking can be a high risk ?
i smoke and surgeon said to stop 4 weeks before surgery . i packed it in before last surgery and stupidly started again, but this time im finding it hard.

Re: infection
yes hunny i really would stop smoking it prevents the healing rate of the wounds. i didnt stop smoking but did on day and day after op and that is what my surgeon blames it on.. so if u can do it!! whats more important boobies or fags???
alot of girls dont pack in and have been ok but thats the risk everyone takes xx

Re: infection
Smoking actually decreases the oxygen in your blood. The lack of oxygen can lead to necrosis, which can lead to the implant having to be explanted, not to mention putting you at a much higher risk of infection, as well as possible ugly scarring babe. xxx
Re: infection
yeah you are right, ive got to be more determined,
BOOBIES are more important lol, thanks ruby roo
cookie, what does `necrosis` mean and `implant having to be explanted` what does that mean , 1st ive heard of either , cheers trace

Re: infection
Necrosis is when the tissue dies babe and implant having to be explanted means having the implants removed hun. xxx

well ive packed it before, i just got to do it again now, thanks cookie, x ( mind made up)
