hi all just wondered if anyone tried to lose weight before op and how successful they were. I started thinking about it as the ps said if you want to lose weight before the op is better as if you do after you are more likely to lose it on your boobs too (how true is that?) Anyway I am a size 10/12 but some of my size 10 jeans are a bit tight so i have been trying to lose a bit of weight since monday so that I can fit nicely in my size 10s. Everyone around me just says I am curvy and don't need to lose weight, i just would prefer to have no rolls of fat on my belly when i sit down. lol. Anyway day five now and I have just gone and nicked a bit of the kids chips (not too many but shouldn't have really) I have been calorie counting all week and its hard going. I go to the gym about 3 times a week to classes. Keep thinking about quiting this calorie counting but think that before this life changing op this is the best time, hmmm.

Hi My Year

I went from a size 12 - 14 to a size 10, in wieght that's 10stone to 8stone 12 before my op (from Late january onwards so it was quite steady loss, 2 or 3 pounds or so a week). I cut out all my snacking and went jogging every weekday morning before work!!! Hard work but it does pay off!!!

I tried and failed before my op, but I would think if it's just a few lbs you want to lose it shouldn't matter if it's before or after. If it's more than half a stone I would try before hand. Saying that I lost 2 stone after my BA but I've never gained or lost weight on my boobs no matter how big or small I am.
