you would need to maintain the weight by a stone or half to ensure you didn't get rippling or a change in the appearance of your new boobs. So it's probably best to be close to your ideal weight. You may or may not get bigger implants if you put on weight but I doubt you would want to stay that weight.

....Heh!?
More chance? As in, more chance of them giving you bigger implants? isn't that only the case if you go with 'high-street' surgeons?
And what happens if you lose weight afterwards and then you don't have enough natural tissue left to cover the edges of the implant whereas if you'd lost the weight first they could have taken that into account...? Aaarragrgawlrkjqeg
I want to lose weight before my BA but that's because of the last point... now I'm intrigued... and really confused!!

No way would def be on the best shape u can as losing weight after can affect your implants. I have 2 stone to lose and unfortunately didn't lose it before surgery and I still couldn't go as big as the implant I wanted. Don't forget if u put on weight when u lose it boobies will shrink. Hard enough lose it so don't try put it on

I wouldnt do either best to be how you can maintain post op... when deciding on size the ps ususally goes by your breast width and what you want... putting on a few pounds wont really change your breast and chest meaurements. You also want to make sure that your new boobs do suit the body you usually have. For me from pre op to now I have fluctuated about 6lbs up then down again and I although I felt the difference it didnt really make that much difference to my boobs or how they looked so I think it would have to be a substantail shift in your weight to make that much difference. x
