Re: May Buddies!
You really need to keep yourself busy, I was the same as you a week before the op then on the day it was pure excitement...... I do think it gets easier the closer it gets as you have less time to worry.
Just make sure after the op that you have lots of pillows in bed as its easier to sleep upright, it makes easier for getting in and out of bed.
Its been 3 days now since my op and swelling is starting to go, think I must be a quick healer as they are starting to soften... it will be worth the wait in the end. I was lucky due to the fact I decided to have it done 3 weeks ago, saw the surgeon and booked in straight away.
Just don't watch any more videos. I am the worlds worst wimp and it really is not as bad as you are thinking it will be.

Re: May Buddies!
Hi girls,
Been away for a long weekend, so couldn't post. Hi Charlotte and
bikergirl. Sorry I didn't get to say good luck to you jojo, chez and
printerel... Glad everything went well jojo, and I hope all is good
with you chez and printerel.
Elaine - I had my pre op appt last week, and I told them I'm 99% sure
I'd like 365 instead of 310. I'm going back in to see my surgeon this
week to make sure it's ok with him.
bumblelady - sorry you're feeling so nervous. I'm really excited! Keep
looking at the calendar on my computer hoping there are less days to go
than when I last looked! Haha!

Re: May Buddies!
Hi jojo
LOADS better this morning, thanks! Amazed at the amoun of movement I've got back, can lift my arms right up too, have to say last night was very uncomfortable but I'm hoping that was the worst of it over.
For those of you still to go please don't worry the op is so much better than you imagine and any discomfort after will pass xxxx

Re: May Buddies!
Well I have my new boobies !
Just home from hospital, pretty sore when I move but really enjoyed my day ! Nurses were great. Surgeon decided to go for the 410 in the end, I was so worried they were going to look huge but I love them :D
Getting out of bed is the worst. I had drains and was dreading getting them taken out but could hardly feel it. Although my friend who i was getting them done with fainted when hers came out, she was sick quite alot yesterday too so had to get the lovely jag in her bum..
Don't worry too much Chez, it will all be worth it :)

Re: May Buddies!
The time will just fly by my year.
Ah yeah, I have 3 horses Heather, my friend who had it done last year said it was 6 weeks before she tried to ride, I was hoping it would be a bit sooner though..
Your horse looks lovely, what do you do with him? xx
