Hey girlies, just thought i'd let anyone who is scared of needles know that I tested out the EMLA numbing cream today in a skills lab in uni for practising giving IV Fluids & Blood! The practice educator said she had a tube and did anyone wanna be the guinea pig.. all i had to agree to was to be poked with a needle afterwards so I jumped at the chance, Im not scared of needles, just nosy haha and I honestly didnt believe it would work!

Well I can tell you it definatley does, i sat poking myself until I drew blood because I was so amazed at how numb I was! So if in doubt, ask for the cream!! Hope this helps!

Yeah I had lots of this cream applied to both my hands, but due to me going down to theatre earlier than scheduled, it hadn't set in time to work.

So, if you girls do ask for it, make sure it is applied about an hour before. The other option is of course to have the mask which I had in the end anyway!
