Other Girls...
Did any of you find that when you told other girl friends about getting a BA they tried to talk you out of it and make you feel stupid and vain for wanting one? My closest friends are all really supportive and excited for me but others keep telling me reasons why i shouldn't get one.
'nothing will fit you properly unless you get bigger sizes' 'they make you look alot fatter' 'boys don't like them as much' 'what a waste of money' etc...
Half of the people talking me out of getting it done i didnt even tell in the first place but somehow they have found out and are making a big deal out of it to the point were its quite embarrassing, i dont like the idea of being their topic of conversation. I went to a party last night and a girl I havn't spoke to just burst out 'OMG arn't you gettin a boob job, like dead soon?!' ( and then she started with her million reasons why i shouldnt get a boob job and how she wants a reduction.. its ok for her she has boobs, BIG boobs!) ... I'm not making a secret out of it i'm gonna be truthful if someone asks but i still don't want it to be the talk of all my friends.
Does anybody regret having a boob job and did anybody else feel like they were the talk of conversation like you were vain or something?
Im just glad my closest friends are supportive and so excited.
sorry just felt like a bit of a moan :( xx

Re: Other Girls...
All my proper friends were pleased for me excited and a little jealous but nice with it.. I only had a couple of neg comments from girls I didn't know... one told me that I would put weight on after because everyone who had BA did! first I had heard of that, personally I think she had a weight issue herself and as I didn't know her, her opinion didn't matter. I wouldn't listern to these people if I were you they seem like the type to have a neg opinion what ever the issue. Just rtemember you are doing this for you and you alone they don't have to live with your boobs so it's none of there business!

Re: Other Girls...
I had a friend, who is more of an aquaintance when I think about it, that didn't even want to hear what my reasons were. She then confessed she had thought about doing it and then decided against it. So it was either she was projecting her decision on me or was just jealous. Some people are also insensitive and tactless (which the person you're talking about seems)
Jet350 is right though, your real friends will be supportive, maybe ask them to keep it private for now so you don't get stressed before your BA

Thanks girls! sometimes it just seems like people make it out to be a much bigger deal than what it is, cosmetic surgery is alot more common than it used to be x

Re: Other Girls...
Most of my friends were great about it, but there was one girls who was abit nasty and funny enough she has big boobs herself. She kept telling me I'd have back ache and get the wrong kind of attention, but personally I just think she was jelouse. Not of the fact I was getting big boobs but the fact the attention wouldnt just be all on her anymore. Even now she sometimes makes comments about how my are fake and hers are real. But do I want saggy big boobs or pert fake ones, I know which I prefer thank you very much.
I guess what I'm saying is hun alot of people are jelouse sadly and will try and cover this up by giving you lots of reasons against a BA when most of them given half a chance would jump at a chance of a BA.
Just hold your head high and tell yourself your doing this for you and they are just jelouse. xx

Re: Other Girls...
I would say, almost certainly they are just jelouse and would probably love to get a pair them themselves.
Altho on a similar note, my friend recently got a nose job, and when she said she was getting one, we were all like 'OMG dont be daft you soo dont need one, what a waste of money' but to be honest there really was nothing wrong with her nose whatsoever, and now post op, you can barely tell shes had it done xx

Re: Other Girls...
The only negative feedback i have got from friends is the risk of surgery itself! I havent told that many people, but the ones i have are all really supportive and happy for me. my mum is a bit squeemish about the idea and my boyfriend is still unsure about it, but i think they all understand im doing this for myself and to rid my depression of having no boobs.
Like everyone else has said, the people you dont really know are most probably jealous because your going to have a fantastic perfect pair and all they have is two lumps they give them back problems and will soon be knocking round their ankles!!

Re: Other Girls...
I had the same thing pre BA, everyone had an opinion, they'd all spend the money on something else, they were happy with what they got, or they thought I was doing it for attention. I think everyone thought I'd look like jordan, even my best friend told me I'd look stupid. After my op everyone was so nice about it, said how real they look and a few girls are going to finish having children then look into it themselves. No one has said anything horrible although I have to keep letting everyone poke them to see what they feel like
Re: Other Girls...

Re: Other Girls...
They are just jealous hun.
I have one friend who always has to make little comments in front of people who don't know about my BA (especially at work) like "Oh I'm surprised that top still fits you"
And when we went shopping I said that I was surprised they didn't make size 12 bikini tops bigger as surely the bigger the dress size the bigger the bikini top should be and she said "not everyone pays for their boobs you know"!!! Meow!
Hold your head high and think of how amazing they will look!
