Following on from FG's post about sickness
Just wondering if everyone felt ill after the GA as Funkygirl has? It is an aspect I hadn't really thought about and would be interested to know others experiences.
I have 12 days to go and getting sooooooooo scared but kind of excited too.

Awww sweetie, it happens 'sometimes' I wasn't sick at all after my 1st BA, my second for some unknown reason, I was sick as a dog! :dunno:
You just need to put things into perspective hun, yes, it's possible you 'may' be sick after the GA, but it DOES get better and if sickness is as bad as it gets after surgery, then although not pleasant at the time, it's a small price to pay for gorgeous boobies!.

I agree although I was sick after my ba it wass worth it to have my boobies. It wasnt nice but at the end of the day I'd do it all again. Not everyone gets sick though so I would try not to worry to much easier said than done I know. xx

I wasn't sick after my BA but knew it could happen. I was prepared for it just in case. I wasn't sick after my other GA last year either. It's the antibiotics that affect me, some I'm ok with, some make me sleepy and some make me sick as a dog. I'm the same with some painkillers too
Re: Following on from FG's post about sickness
I don't remember being sick after my first GA but am aware that just because I wasn't the first time doesn't mean I won't be affected this time round - fingers crossed I won't though. i have been taking co codomol and Ibuprofen up until the past week for a pulled neck muscle and that made me so dizzy and nauseous so could do without that feeling again !!

I've had GA a couple times and the only side effect I had was uncontrollable sobbing for a good 30 min afterwards. However, that doesn't mean I couldn't get it this time! It's always a possibility.

GA's effect everybody differently hun. Over the last two years I've had 3, and I was different after each one. Don't worry yourself about it, just think of the end result.

Thanks for all your comments - I think I am at the stage where if there is something to panic over I will. I am usually such a calm person, can't believe things are worrying me so much!
Your all fab and so supportive, your comments really help me!
Kate - you are a day before me!!! How you feeling?

Awwww sweetie I really think I have just been really unlucky, I just didn't take to the GA or the meds very well at all.
Not everyone gets sick, but it's good to be prepared anyway as you just don't know how your body will react, everyones different. Even when I felt my worst I never once regretted having my BA thou, it's been a small price to pay for what I got in the end and the poorly feelings soon pass, i'm definately feeling better now hun!

Re: Following on from FG's post about sickness
I had really bad sickness with my 1st 2 GA so with my other 4 ops I was always given anti sickness injections to make sure i was ok. They did wear off after a while & i was sick a day or two after my ops but i just went to my G.p who prescribed me some anti sickness liquid that works wonders!
