Types of implants?
hello
So I have got my head round the fact i'm having a boob job and sizing now im confused about types of implants! I saw Transform last week but I didnt really take in the brand of implant they were offering. So just wondering how many types of implants there are and whats the difference? Im wanting as natural look as possible if that makes any difference?
I cant believe how much info there is to take in! Hopefully this is the last bit to get my head round! xx

Re: Types of implants?
The most popular implants used in the UK are Allergen, Nagor, Mentor and PIPs.
Transform use Allergen CUIs which are the cheapest in the allergen range, allergen also do a more expensive product called soft touch but you should expect to maybe pay more for those.
I think the only difference is the warranty, for example, Allergen CUIs are guarnteed to 10 years, whereas the soft touch are guaranteed for a lifetime. I think Nagor and Mentor also offer a lifetime guarantee too. I'm not too sure on the PIPs though. xxxx

Re: Types of implants?
Yeah cookies right. You can expect to pay anything between 400- 1000 for the more expensive implants. The cui ones do come with a ten year gaurantee whereas some of the others come with a lifetime one. I am just getting the standard allegan cui with transform as i think that realistically i will need them done again at some point within the next ten years due to natural sagging and childbirth etc... Each to their own though xxx

They are actually still in use. They have got a bad press though based on their high rupture rate.

Re: Types of implants?
Ah thanks girls! Im feeling a bit clearer about it all now although transform did tell me the implants came with a lifetime guarantee but im sure they were only talking about the standard ones so i better double check with them.
Ive now got to get my head round aftercare policies then hopefully im ready to book by the end of next week!

Hello red77 and welcome to the forum and the beginning of your research.
Many of the implants offer a 'lifetime' guarantee, however, they dont all cover everything, even the most expensive ones....small print is best read. Research and compare. xx

Re: Types of implants?
i have 2 more appts this week so think i will be able to take more information in. I'd ideally like ones with a lifetime guarantee so will have a good read of the small print! I was told the only sizes tranform do were 230cc, 260cc, 300cc etc so im guessing they use different implant as most people dont seem to have these sizes?
back to the research!
