hi just a few questions ladies
hi girls i was wondering if anyone can help me, i have a couple of questions regarding the type of implant i had and my healing really,
1, i thought i was going to have mhp or tsf implants but on the card thing they give you it says tsx? is that extra high profile?
2, do i have to wear the sports bra constantly? i wear it until i cant bear it anymore coz it irritates my stitches and the swelling makes it really uncomfortable, then i take it off untill i feel its pulling on my stitches and the tops of my breasts. is this ok?
and lastly,
3, i have a stiff feeling in my breasts and in my back when i finsh my housework and thinking of it when i wake up in the morning. i never had any of this with my first ba.

Hey hun,
I'm a pre-opper so can't really offer any advice at this point but i'm sure the girls will be along to offer some...
Maybe you could ring your ps or pcc and ask about the implant profile you had, sorry I can't be any more help hun..
Hope your healing well x x

Hi Lisa, sorry, I can't help with the TFX thing, I've no idea what that means
I think in regard to you being uncomfortable in your sprts bra though, that it's possible you may need a larger size to accomodate any swelling, I know I did, I had to go up another band size and cup size! But felt so much more comfortable when I did.
The stiffness you're feeling is probably also down to swelling, I found ice packs invalueable during this time, they helped take the pressure down so much! Try not to do too much too, your body has ways of telling you to slow down and with you being still very early days in your recovery this is definately a sign to take things easier hun.
Hope things get better soon sweetie. xxx

Hi, no idea re the TSX bit, but with regards to your sports bra, I think you should try and buy a different one which sits differently around your stitches. I found I was really uncomfortable, but didn't realise i needed a bigger bra, because part of my breast was numb so i wasn't aware how much pressure the bra was putting onto that part. Got a bigger bra, and all was a lot more comfortable.
Re the TSX bit, maybe speak to your patient co-ordinator and ask what it means.

hi i just found out some info on the tsx situation, i thought i was going to have tsf but ended up with tsx they stand for textured soft touch xtra high full profile. (tsf being textured soft touch full profile) i dont know why this happend as yet though. im guessing that the surgeon thought it would fit me better, it is a narrower implant, i think he made the right choice as i can feel my boobs when my arms are down.xxx

Re: hi just a few questions ladies
Glad you found out what TFX meant babe
Was also wanting to add about getting a new sports bra - don't know which bra you're using atm, but a bra with a low sitting band is best as it won't irritate your scars. I've found the M&S front fastening bra best as there are no seams at all in it to irritate scars and the band sits nice and low and it gives great support. It's this one here - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: hi just a few questions ladies
thanks hun are they hard to come across? i havent seen any in my local m&s? i looked on the link and they are limited in sizes. they look fab and sit really low just what i need.xxxx my left breast is causeing me some problems i am left handed so i think thats why its taking longer to heal. it looks different and it feels very irritated and sore at the bottom outer part of my breast. i also felt a bit flu like i was worried that there might be an infection but at my 1 week post op my pc said that she couldnt see any cause for concern and that i might have a bug. it feels a bit internally hot no lumps or anything so im hoping that its just my stitches being irritated. (sorry to ramble).xxx
