Questions up until op :)
Bare with me but as my op draws nearer I keep thinking of things to ask. So I will be randomly asking questions and probably driving everyone nuts as they may have been asked 100 x before
As I was doing my daily chores I realised just how much I lift my arms above my head etc. so was just wondering how long before we can expect to load the washing machine, hang clothes on line, put things in top of fridge, make beds, hoover, cook ie lift heavy pans, do cartwheels, paint house..... Hmmm maybe not the last 2

Re: Questions up until op :)
Everyone recovers at a different speed. The important thing is to refrain from doing anything that hurts.
I am thirteen days post op and back to normal except for heavy lifting with regards to housework.
But certainly for the first few days be prepared to do very little. Obviously the quicker you can get and potter about the better you will feel, but if you are feeling knackered go back to bed.
Not long now, very exciting!

Re: Questions up until op :)
Generally you'll be back to normality anything from one to two weeks after surgery.
You're however not going to be able to do anything at all that's going to put pressure on your upper body for six weeks, so that's no hoovering, no changing duvet covers, lifting heavy items. Anything like that you're either going to need help with or they're just going to have to wait until you're over your recovery period hun. Xx
