Bottoming out and Double bubble
Hi Girls
Just doing some research before my second consultations and its seems that bottoming out and double bubble are more common than what I thought.
I am worried about this anyway but particularly because I want to have overs and will be having large implants (525 or larger) due to current 34C pre op size. I understand why the BO happens for example because of over dissection of the pocket but after reading about some of you girls on here most of you have been to reputable surgeons and it has still happened to you.
I have also read that these things may happen more if there is slight sagging to existing breasts.
Any advice would be greatfully received.
Thanks!
Grace

Re: Bottoming out and Double bubble
HI hun, it is true that there is a higher risk of bottoming out with larger implants over the muscle due to over disection of the pocket or smiply the implants are too heavy. But you can get double bubble with unders. I think it's just one of the risks you have to take with this kind of surgery.
They can fix bottoming out quite easily with another op (unfortunatly) the crease incision is re opened and the tissue surrounding the implant is rolled up to the desired location and held in place with internal sutures.
The fix for bottoming out is a re op with breast lift and placing the implants back under the muscle or moving the implants from under to over the muscle.
