Re: What is double bubble??
Double bubble happens when the breast sags over the implant - it would look similar or like this -
You can see the implant underneath, then the natural breast sagging over the top. xx

Re: What is double bubble??
Is there a reason why this happens? What could I do as i patient to avoid it? Is it less likely to happen if you have a lift and implant?
Too many questions????

Re: What is double bubble??
i have it!
i had sagging before my BA and was told i was "borderline" for an up-lift..... i choose not to have the up-lift but the results are awful...
my implant was placed partially under the muscle, the muscle is holding the implant up and my natural boob/tissue is sagging down bellow the implant..... if i had had a lift as well as a BA i would not have had this.... also if the ps had placed the implant in the "over" position i would not have double bubble either...
im now fighting for a free up-lift...... the surgeon said i would still get a good result without the lift but transform want me to pay for a whole new op myself.

HOw awful for you. ANd really frustrating having to fight to get it sorted. I hope you have a good lawyer. I'm amazed that transform are happy to risk a dent in their reputaion. Maybe you should mention the negetive publicity your story could bring them???
Do you mind me asking how long agao you had your BA? i'm not actually sure whether its relevant, just curious.

O god how awful. It goes to show you though, we can plan, and plan and try to eliminate our worries but at the end of the day our bodies are in their hands. I feel really sad for you that they are in effect shrugging their shoulders on this issue.

Re: What is double bubble??
thanks for your kind words ladies!
ill keep you all informed on what they say! probably not a lot though..... its now been 3 weeks since they said they'd be in touch to book me in for a second opinion! bloody joke.
i choose Transform thinking that they are a big well known company, been around a long time and surely must use the best ps! but no, its there lawyers that are good!
my neighbours niece had mr crici that's why i choose him, her boobs look fab but looking back....... her case was very straight forward, no sagging, boob or excess skin.... my case a little more complicated but should have been given the correct info to begin with and should NOT still be being fobbed off 7 months later...
they also know that not many lawyers will take on a medical negligence case as its very hard to prove
hope you ladies have had a fab week end!

Re: What is double bubble??
pm'd you sweetheart!
forgot to say.... its pretty obvious so I'm sure you wont have any trouble with a re-op.. I also had partials, it could be that they will suggest overs and a lift or they could just simply lift the breast tissue back over the implant..
Id ask to see a couple of different surgeons for a second opinion, just so you know all your options..
but dont be surprised if you get told to wait 6 months or so for the implant to drop into place!
again, sorry its not better news
