Strapping off......... I feel like crying!
I had my BA on the 27th Nov (2 weeks and 1 day) and I had the strapping off yesterday so I got to see them for the first time. I'm sooo disappointed and upset I just can't described how I feel!
I had different implants a 450 extra full profile implant in my left and a 425 full profile in my right because my ps said the size of my boobs pre op was 'significantly' different. He's the expert so I just went along with what he recommended. To be honest I never thought there was that much of a difference before hand you had to really look to notice.
Anyway when the strapping has came off they are totally different. Left one is now bigger than right and the difference is more significant than it was before my op, and secondly they have a totally different profile/projection to the point where my nipples aren't even in line!
I have read other posts about people saying they take time to drop etc etc but these are totally different and it can only be down to the implant size and the fact they were a different profile too!
I was sooo disappoint that the nurse has booked me in to see ps on Monday to see what he thinks. The nurse was trying to play it down.
I'm now really worried incase ps won't do anything as I feel I'd be stuck with boobs that I hate more than before because they look stupidly different.
Sorry for rambling, was out on xmas party last night and think I'm still drunk!

I'm sorry your so upset and it is very early at the moment to tell what they will look like and how they will drop and settle. I'm sure your ps will take you seriously and if there is a problem I'm sure he will fix it. He might ask you to wait a few months to see how they change.
Re: Strapping off......... I feel like crying!
Hi hun. Sending you big hugs. I haven't experienced my boobs dropping at different rates but have read about it loads on here so it seems quite normal.
I would definitely have a word with your ps xx

Sorry to hear your so upset hun, you are very early days and i know you hear it a lot on here but it does take a while to get the final results. Im 8 month post op and they still havent fully dropped. Mention it to your PS at your next check up and if theres no changes im sure he can fix it like misf1 said.

Re: Strapping off......... I feel like crying!
Hi Jo - You're just 2 days ahead of me, I had my op on the 29th and my breasts are also healing at different rates too, I had the same size implants in both - 410s and both HP, but my left has dropped and I already have a slope to the top of the breast on the left, the right however is high, very rounded at the top and the inner breast and still very tight, so tight that when I breathe in I can feel the implant up hard against my chest...
I think however that it's very early days yet though and there is still a lot of swelling to go down as well as relaxing of the skin to be done, I think you're right to bring up your concerns though if you're worried, I'm seeing my nurse monday and will also bring up the subject with her too, but right now, I'm not too worried about it at all, I just think the higher one needs a bot more time to settle and catch up with the left.
I took pics of mine at 6 days post op, the difference is visible on there, but they have worsened since then, but you're quite welcome to take a look if you'd like to. xx

Re: Strapping off......... I feel like crying!
Oh honey it must be so disappointing for you and I can see why you're upset. You've done the right thing tho getting straight in to see your ps on Monday.
Everything the other girls have said is right. Each of your boobs are completely different and will heal at different rates. Its almost as if you've had two completely separate operations as well as different size implants.
I know its hard but try not to worry. My advice would be to take pics every day too so that you can see how much they will change over time.
Do let us know how you get along on monday sweets. xx

Re: Strapping off......... I feel like crying!
Try not to worry too much my right one was smaller before my op and my surgeon put the same size implants in both however he did place the implant in my right in a different position as I questioned this when he was drawing on me but he said the way he placed it would even my boobs up. After my boobs looked completely different my right one was so high up and the left one was more to the side. I was so worried but I'm now 2 months on and they look fab, right one is still a bit smaller but you can't tell that much and they have both dropped and look very natural, I just wish I'd gone a bit bigger but I still love em.
I know its hard but I tried not to keep looking at them as you can become obsessed and find too many faults, just try and look at them week to week and you will notice the changes a lot better xxx

Re: Strapping off......... I feel like crying!
Sorry to hear you feel like this, what you're going through is one of the things everyone on here dreads happening to them. I'm sure you're surgeon will be able to sort everything out as you would think the last thing he would want is for you to be unhappy with his work. Hope monday goes ok for you.

Sorry to hear your upset hunny good luck for today, you are doing the right thing raising it with your PS, but like the others said, they are classed as two seperate operations so may heal/drop at different rates.

Re: Strapping off......... I feel like crying!
Firstly thanks everyone for your support, its much better talking to people who understand what you're going on about.
Anyway, just back from seeing ps and I feel much better. He says his inital insticts are that it isn't a size issue its the position he's put the implant in and he thinks it may need to be dropped down by about 3mm to give the lift of the other one. He says it's really difficult to judge when there's asymetry (SP??).
He said it too early to make any decisions though because its a moving target until they settle. He's wants to see me again in February to have a look again then, but has said not to worry because he's not running anywhere and won't leave me with boobs I'm not happy with (which is great to hear).
The other suprising thing is that he has told me to go and get an underwired Wonder Bra to help sharpe my boobs. He said if they question it to say that my ps has advised it. Normally this wouldn't be a major thing but I was having a real dress dilema trying to get something that looked good with a sport bra for my big office party on Friday so I'm exstatic becuase this opens up loads of new options.
Although the idea of further surgery its great, I'd rather that than be left with wonky boobs - so we'll just wait and see.
Thanks again everyone

Re: Strapping off......... I feel like crying!
Awww I hope it doesn't result in firther surgery for you Jo, but you sound much more positive so that's good.
And just my luck! I went to see my PS too today, I wish I'd been told to wear a wonder bra, but ohhhhhhhhhhhhh no! - Me! I get to massage mine myself to encourage the bugger to drop down!
I'm back too in Feb, seems like ages away doesn't it! But I suppose it gives time for the boobs to behave themselves!

Re: Strapping off......... I feel like crying!
Was thinking about you today Jo. That sounds like really good advice from your ps although I'm surprised about the wonderbra! Good news for you tho hey.
IF (and its a big IF) it does result in further surgery I wouldn't imagine it will be anything like your original ba and your recovery time should be much quicker.

Re: Strapping off......... I feel like crying!
glad to hear that you are feeling better about this after talking to your ps. mine are really wonky now and hoping that they will be less so after tomorrow. people always say oh everyone has one bigger than the other, but when its you and you know your own body it can be the only thing you see. lets hope he got it right first time and your body will work it out in its own time.

Re: Strapping off......... I feel like crying!
Glad you are feeling better JO!!! I think the time wait to heal is good advice as they do settle soo much in the first months. Great he may do a slight pocket revision to enable them to twin up too if neeeded, I believe it is a very straightforward procedure. And I agree I would prefer further surgery compared to breasts I was unhappy with.
Other girls have been advised to wear Wonderbras too, em_ stevo did I think around three weeks post-op too. So you are not alone.
Also you have the bonus of feeling better about yourself over christmas and party outfits. Enjoy xx
