Pre-op disappointment.
I recieved a calll from Transform this morning, my blood tests that I had done at my pre-op last week have come back raised, so I have to go back on monday to have them repeated.
Please wish me luck ladies... I so want this surgery all over and done with, the thought of having to wait even longer is just awful!

Re: Pre-op disappointment.
Thanks girls.... been a bit upset this morning, I have an auto immune disorder and my body can attack itself, I think the stress haggling with Transform over my surgery hasn't helped, but that's all settled now and I was hoping to get it all out the way...
Fingers crossed though that the next tests come back all OK, I still have three weeks till my surgery so still time for things to settle... xxx

Re: Pre-op disappointment.
Thanks all.... I've waited since late June to get this op booked because of one problem or another, I suppose it's just another hurdle I have to get over, but I'll get there in the end.....

Aw Cookie xxx
Stay positive ....best to be safe and feel confident all is well!!
Perhaps ask why levels are high? could anything help to bring to normal? what is the concern? Are they being over cautious? Does your G.P agree? could he assist in any way?
I truly hope you have better results and answers.....everything crossed for you!!!!! xxx

Mia - It seems my potassium levels are raised... I haven't involved my doc yet as I'm hoping for a false reading this time and that all will be well come monday. Fingers crossed. x

Thanks Sally. x
Just back from having my bloods repeated. The nurse said there shouldn't be any probs with post now so she should have my results back in a couple of days, so if I don't hear from her by the end of the week, I can take it all is good.
Apparently, normal potassium levels are between 3 and 5.. mine were 6.2 so hopefully this time they will be OK.

Re: Pre-op disappointment.
i think with big companys like transform, mya etc they are extra careful who they take on as patients, as there hospitals are just for cosmetic surgery, when transform cancelled my op, i thort it was final, but then i emailed lots of private plastic surgeons and explained my situation and lots of them said the op is possible but would be better if i was to have it in a mainstream hospital, as they have better faciltities, and i guess if something was to go wrong,(god forbid) it could be dealt with easily. hopefully your next results will come back good, but in the mean time, have you thort about seeing what other private surgeons say, it was just a thort, but i hope everything goes well so you can go with transform xx

With my surgery being a re-op it's not really an option for me hun, well, I suppose it is as a last resort and I'll then have to find the pennies to foot the bill then too!... The ruptured implant 'needs' to come out though no matter what, so I have to find a way to get this surgery done.
I contacted my doctor yesterday too and explained the situation to her, she's going to run her own tests for me today and if need be, we can act on the results quickly... I'm holding on to the fact that I have time on my side, surgery isn't scheduled till the 29th, so I'm hangin' in there! :flower:
