confusion over implants:/
Hi guys!
I'm just looking into the different types of implants and I'm having my op with transform who I've read use round CUI implants which are non-FDA approved. I was wondering if transform offer the FDA approved implants, or the allergan Inspira Soft touch as I've heard they are good however I don't know much about the allergan Inspria Soft touch and was wondering if anyone can tell me more about them? I'm confused with this implant malarky:/xxxx

Its all confusing hun, dont worry, it baffled me to begin with. Basically you are able to get the soft touch inspiras but at an extra cost hun, transform were unable to quote me a price at the time of my consult for them but after meeting one of their surgeons I opted for MYA as they were excellent from the start, but thats only my personal opinion hun. I paid 405 extra through mya for the soft touch inspiras and basically they have a lifetime warranty and I think If I remember right (please somebody correct me if Im wrong) they contribute up to 700 towards your next surgery. But dont take my word on it.
Also I did a lot of research on them and asked a lot of questions to my surgeon about them and he told me they are supposed to have a slightly thicker wall to lower the chances of rupturing. However lots of girls on here have had the CUI implants and havent had any problems. Its all personal choice lovely, keep researching, ask lots of questions and see what feels best for you xxxx

hey!
Thanks for your help! I called transform yest and they seemed pretty clueless about the soft touch inspira, however just called them again this morn and I've had some success! they are quoting a price with the new implants and calling me back:) I really want these implants because of the live time guarantee they offer, I can't afford to have lots of re-op in the future, so I'm giving myself the best chance I suppose:) yay!xxxxx

Hi
Yes, this is a bit of a minefield ... there's some more info here:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
the soft touch inspira implant is guaranteed for life and Allergan will make a contribution towards a reop, should they rupture and need replacing. But that amount won't cover all the costs associated with having another operation (e.g. hospital fees and anaesthetist's fees).
I think the general consensus is that these are one of the better implants on the market, so you're going to be as well covered as any of us can be ...
