Feel like a moan!

Hi girls

Just thought i'd have a little moan cause i'm feeling down in the dumps. My right boobs scar has flared up again and giving me jip!!! :sad:

Right before i go on my hols to sunny Butlins with the kids!!! Just started taking the antibiotics that were prescribed in the begining cause i'm fed up now. It was ok the other day not like my left has healed but i thought it was getting there. Had my 6 week check and Rosie my lovely nurse filled me in on what i had to do now. 1st week for 2hrs a day wear a normal bra then up it by 1 hr everyday each consecutive week. Oh and to try and not wear a bra at night so as to start to let the muscles do their job.

Thought it would be great not to have to wear a bra at night but i can't i ache sooooo much. Been able to do half the night then i put a bra back on.

Do you think it cause i've messed about with my bra wearing that the scar has flared up?

Oh well sorry to harp on. Lets hope the antibiotics do the trick. Can't bloomin have a drink on my hols now :evil: Well maybe 1 or 2 won't do any harm??? :dunno:

Sorry to hear your scar is bad again, typical it's just before your holiday. I hope you have a nice time despite the antibiotics. I ached without a bra in bed at night and it will get easier, try and do as they say, but I think you are doing the right thing and putting the bra back on when it gets too much. I hope it gets better soon hun.

I doubt that changing bras/not wearing bras will have affected your scar? I change mine around so much and fuss with them, I'm a nightmare, they never feel right.

I'm sure if you take the antibiotics it'll be fine hun. Maybe if you're worried could you call your nurse before you go away, just for peace of mind? It must be annoying though that it's happened now. Hopefully the holiday will take your mind off it a bit!

I am so sorry to hear you have problem with your scar, I have been so wrapped up in my own thoughts and just read your post so had to reply to you.

Sounds daft I know but try not to worry, you must be very disappointed especially with holiday with the kids, keep your chin up, healing process always takes time, I will keep everything crossed for you it gets better VERY QUICKLY..

Hi - I don't really know about the scar I'm afraid but just wanted to say that I had partial unders and I wore a sports bra day and night for 3 months (I was told to as I had anatomicals) and it didn't do me any harm, so if you're feeling achy then don't feel bad about wearing a bra at night for a few more weeks. I found it a hard habit to break even at 3 months! I think it's better to get a good night's sleep as that helps healing and recovery.

Thanks guys. Feeling really down today but prob cause i'm due anyway! Just wish i had taken the antibiotics anyway in the begining it might not have been a problem now. Touble is it was doing really well then all of a sudden gone a few steps back!

Anyway got 4 nippers to look after so onwards an upwards us mums can't feel sorry for ourselves for long can we?

Chin up, things will be ok I'm sure, concentrate on enjoying your hols with your kids, as for the bra issue, do what you feel comfortable with, our bodies let us know, iykwim ?
On another note, maybe you could get a bra that is still supportive in the cups, but slighly bigger around the band, so it doesn't irritate ? just a thought xx

Hi Lou, I must have missed something as this is the first I've seen about your scar problem. Something which I can't help with either as mine have not given me any real trouble.

I must say it sounds very complicated all this bra on bra off rota business. I have mine, proper or sports, on 24/7 at the moment. I'm going to ask at my next check up if I can go braless at all, however I'm afraid they're going to fall off if I'm haven't got a bra on (what an idiot I am) .

Have a brilliant time at Butlins and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the sun comes out for you

It does doesn't it Sarah i've decided i'm gonna listen to my body and wear a sports bra all the time till i feel ready.

Rang my nurse at the Hospital group and she said i could come in tom morn which is great.

It has actually just weaped quite a bit of what i can only call "stuff" :dunno: tainted blood not anything thick - how gross does this sound! I've put a dressing back on to protect it a little.

So i'm pleased to be going back so quick. They are very good at seeing you if you have a problem thats for sure. Fingers crossed the antibiotics are doing their stuff and that i can get in the pool with the kids

Hiya Hun, I'm sure it'll all be fine I had a bit of a set back the other week and felt crappy so I think it's just normal, especially as you're due. We so want everything to be alright with our boobs that anything makes us worry and panic that it's all going to go horribly wrong! I'm sure your anti b's will do the trick :)
