My 5.30am moan!!
I've been up since 5.30 because i can't sleep so i am going to have a little moan:-
My left side feels like its really improving, not much pain just aching - it feels like i have had a really good workout at the gym. BUT my right side is really painfull, i keep having shooting pains in the boob, and i can't really lift my arm up because of the pain. ( i am too scared to take the painkillers because i was sick off them yesterday and i really am like a child when it comes to being sick - i hate it and normally cry)
I have been sleeping ok, using my v pillar and lying quite flat really, but when i get up it is really painfull! I feel quite tight around the band of my bra and was thinking i might need to get some bra extenders?? i'm wearing a 34 at the moment, normally i'm a 32.
Also i think my boobs still look quite small. In my consult he said i should be a 32D or a 34C. Then when it was all done he told my OH i will be a full C cup. I think maybe i'm getting a little boobie greed . I havn't even seen them yet to get a proper look at how big they are. I am wearing a 34C at the moment, but i feel i may be shrinking a little.
Ok i've had my little moan girls. I Just want to feel normal again.

Re: My 5.30am moan!!
Morning Len,
All sounds very normal! I'm now 9 days post op and all the things you've mentioned are things that I've felt too.
I have a good and bad side, and they swap! At the moment I can move my left arm really well, but my right is a lot tighter. I have a tender area down the side of my right boob and when I move my arm up it feels like its pulling inside. BUT it's a lot better this morning than yesterday, so it is that frustrating thing of giving it time.
Getting up in the morning is still the worst thing for me and when I feel most uncomfortable. I build myself up for it knowing it will not feel great, and like cakey I lie there for ages thinking about the fact I want to get up! Just take it slowly, I use my OH's arm to pull myself up (rather than being pulled - that hurts more) and then sit upright for a few minutes before standing. This morning though my cat used my chest as a springboard, so that set me back another 10 minutes - he had fun though!!
Paracetamol - totally agree with the others. Helps take the edge off but without the sickness and fuzzy headaches.
Size - it's that old 'giving it time' thing again! They are going to change a lot so I would try not to add to your worries. Mine already look different to how they did, and my left is moving from under my armpits quicker I think. I'm just trusting what I've read sooooo much about, that they will change and will end up looking HOT in my bikini!!!
Take it easy x

I agree with the others, it's normal for this to happen and it's also normal for you to get a little scared/think that something is not right, but please don't worry - and do take some paracetamol as there is no point being in so much pain if you can help it... le us know how you get on xxxx

Re: My 5.30am moan!!
Len please take some painkillers, i was on ibuprofen and paracemtamol for the first few days. Ask your ps if its ok to take ibuprofen, please dont suffer x
Re: My 5.30am moan!!
Thank-you everyone for those lovely words of encouragemnt. They really have helped a lot. I'm going to take some Ibuprofin as advised. Today my aim is to get dressed, dry shampoo my hair (well my OH will have to do this), and try to walk around the house and keep more mobile.
I am meant to be going over to my dads tonight for a meal, but as i havn't told him i've had a boob job and i can't move my arms i am going to pull a sickie - i feel a bit guilty about this but what else can i do.

Re: My 5.30am moan!!
Hey darling,
It's all very normal in the early days. My leftie gave me the most horrendous searing, burning pain every time I got up or leant forwards in the first few days. It honestly felt as if blood was leaking out of it. When the dressings came off they were completely clean ... You will start to feel better soon hunni, honest. xx

Re: My 5.30am moan!!
hey lovely, I am 16 days post op and just like one of my girls is playing up more than the other, my right one. Really tender down one side, shotting needle type pains in the nipples and really sensitive nipples too, almost painful to touch. Mornings are like have two big boulders on my chest and evenings they are more tender. But on positive sie tried a bikini on lat night that had removable pads and took them out. Yey I have boobs that fit without padding! Hope you feel better soon. x
