Stitches being removed today!
Hi girls, i have been lucky since my BA and have had next to no pain, but today I am having my stitches out and am dreading it! :pale:
Does it hurt? Do they recover the incisions as I am worried about my sports bra rubbing the scar? Do I have to be extra careful so i dont split them open??
Any advice will be much appreciated as Im pretty worried!!

Re: Stitches being removed today!
hiya hunny, firstly the nurse just snips the ends of the stitches, it's not sore and very quick, nothing to worry about at all hun.
she will put steri strips on the scars and also give you some to take home with you for changing with. they are just like strips of strong micropore tape and keep germs out.
your bra may well rub on the scars a bit as i found this quite uncomfortable but you can either get a bigger band size bra or put a folded bandage or gauze between your bra strap and your scars to cushion them.

Re: Stitches being removed today!
Have you been yet? If not it is a doddle...normally they are dissovable anyway so nothing to remove, but if not they are not even uncomfortable to remove...like most fears, we think them!!
You will be thrilled just to have another part of your journey over, and continue the healing process...Enjoy xx

Hi girls, thankfully it went well and didnt hurt one bit (i didnt have dissolvable, apparently Miss Lutz doesnt agree with them lol!)
The nurse was please with how quickly i had healed and even told me off cause i had a top on which i had to take off over my head, said Miss Lutz would slap me if she saw me do it lol
After she covered the incisions with steri strips and said i could take them off on Sunday, I am also allowed to shower!!! WOO HOO! Had the longest shower ever as soon as i got home, at last i feel clean again! My husband must be so pleased ha ha!
Thanks for all the advice and good wishes yet again, you are alla godsend! :ghug: xx
