Sutures removed today!
Just back from the clinic following removal of sutures. Have to be honest and say it wasn't a pleasant experience and a couple of quiet tears fell :(
My sutures under my breasts were absolutely fine. Just a slight tug. Am absolutely delighted with the scar! The scar from my first BA was very large and sat way below my breasts. Although Mr K went in through the same scar, he has done an amazing job of making it much better (just I've he said he would!).
My nipple sutures - I can't even say this was overly painful. It was just a horrible sensation and I felt very queasy and emotional while they were coming out (it seemed to take ages). I was also very scared to look at them because Mr K warned me they would not look pretty for a while yet. I said I didn't want to see them, but hubby made me! I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised!! Firstly, seeing my nipples actually in the right place was amazeballs!! and secondly, although they have that post op 'shrunken' look, they really were not bad at all!!
My boobs look very different today without all my dressings, even from what they looked like yesterday! Lefty is a bit bigger than righty and there is still swelling between them. I am surprised at how big they are for being unders - wasn't expecting quite so much, but I'll get used to that in time!! Lol
Overall though, absolutely delighted with Mr K's work and even though I was doubtful, I am sooo pleased I agreed to a nipple lift!
Now for a SHOWER!!!
I have updated my picture trail so if anyone wants a peek let me know xxx

Re: Sutures removed today!
Glad everything went well snowy! I was absolutely dreading having my dressings changed at my first post op on Monday, but it wasn't too bad.
Luckily I've been able to shower from day one, but can imagine how satisfying it is after a week or so! xx

Re: Sutures removed today!
I know what you mean CassieShips - my dressings were like a comfort blanket! I was the same after I had surgery following a snowboarding accident a couple years ago - hated getting my casts off!
The shower is the best reward ever!! x

Re: Sutures removed today!
My first BA in 2002 was 280cc unders (only found out the size today!) (30C). I'm wearing 32E sports bra just now. I'm 5' 9" and weigh just under 9 stone.
I originally wanted 410cc but thought I'd try my luck with a bit bigger. I'm more than happy with this size, but I wouldn't have minded being a bit smaller. I worried before my op that I wasn't going to be big enough!! x
