When will my skin stop feeling sore? Empty When will my skin stop feeling sore?

Post by sarahsbabies 28th July 2009, 12:50 pm

Right, I know all the posts that I am creating at the moment seem to be me moaning about how much pain I'm in, I'm sorry about that, but here's another one.

My skin over my boobs feels really sore to the touch, sore like red raw sore, it hurts if I wear a necklace and the pendant brushes against them. There's no redness as you would expect from something that feels sore. Has anyone else experienced this and when will it get better? I go to bed every night thinking 'tomorrow it wont hurt as much', but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I am assuming that its the nerves repairing themselves.

Thanks ladies, and sorry to be such a moaning mini

Yeps, I remember that feeling lovely. My skin felt sensitive, sore and stretched. It started to get better about 4 weeks after my op.

Ah thanks, not much longer to wait then till it starts to subside. One week and 3 days :) . That still sounds like ages

Me too, i took a pain killer at night time, so i could get some sleep. At the moment mine are really itchy all over, driving me mad. Been putting moisteriser on them (not near the scars), it helps at first, but by the evening they are itchy again. Looking forward to when they don't itch.

Mine too! They were sooooo sensitive and painful! Mine are fine now though but it did take a while for the sensitivity to decrease. I recon 4 weeks is the turn around point. Wish u well xxxxxxx

Yes, me too SB! It wasn't everywhere, but particularly round the nipple lift that I had. Think it was around 4 weeks that it started to settle down ...

Aw SB!!! Hug XXX

All normal...could put some Aloe Vera pure natural gel on ..to cool, soothe and moisturise to ease it slightly. Itching, also sign of healing ...dont scratch  an antihistimine tablet can do the trick along with the Aloe vera also antibacterial...or ice, a fan even.

Each day sees an improvement.....hang in there girl!!!
