Allergan CUI
Just wondering if anyone's had these type of implants? (As opposed to the Inspira Soft Touch that I keep seeing mentioned).

RoxyChicks had them, she went with Transform. I don't know of anyone who has had poblems with them.
There is some hype about the Inspiras isn't there? Everything comes out first in the uS then when it gets here we're all excited lol

Do they have inspiras there? I've never seen anyone with them on the US forums, i thought we were ahead of the US as they still have smooth and saline implants. They call them Inamed i think x
Re: Allergan CUI
hmmm don't go on the US boards as much anymore but if the Inspira's are FDA approved surely they use them? who knows

Re: Allergan CUI
Yay! A boobie-brand twin!! Ha!
Are yours softening up nicely?
I guess I didn't consider it before, but I'm now wondering why they brought out the Inspira range, like, in what way are they better than the CUIs?
My surgeon is a breast specialist & I doubt he'd use something that wasn't up to the job, so I don't know why I'm concerned all of a sudden!!

Allergan wrote:The CUI range is a more standard, round implant. They are available with the INTRASHIEL barrier technology, with textured or smooth surface options and responsive cohesive silicone gel. The CUI range is manufactured under the same high standards as all ALLERGAN Breast Implants; however, they don’t have the same advanced technology in terms of feel and touch, the extensive variety of sizes, or the warranty available in the full range.

it seems the elastomer shell of the Inspiras is thicker, so less risk of rupture...

Re: Allergan CUI
Ok... but it doesn't mean they're going to rupture, just coz they don't have the "BioDIMENSIONAL Planning System" & "BIOCELL texturing"...
I need to stop thinking about it!!!!! It's too late for an upgrade!!!

Re: Allergan CUI
I had them and I was happy to have them really. I researched the pros and cons and I couldn't justify spending the extra amount, especially when I was happy with the fact I'll have to replace them in about 10 years

Re: Allergan CUI
Theres hardly any difference really, 1cc is the same as 1ml so to calculate exactly, you need to know the density of the gel, or the percentage of the gel. So we'll probably never know!! hehe
Grams is the measure of weight, whereas ccs is for volume.
I asked my ps and he said theres no noticeable difference, your implants are measured in grams because they are more solid than liquid, saline implants are usually measured in cc's

Re: Allergan CUI
Lol dont worry hun you are gonna be boobilicious when that strapping comes off and the fluffing begins!!
Re: Allergan CUI
I noticed my little card said 340g not cc... very confusing, as throughout the whole process they were referred to as 340cc, and when I bought weighing scales to do the rice test in grams, my PC told me to do it in ml instead!!

Re: Allergan CUI
I have always been told grams by surgeons, then on the web I always see cc, I thought they were the same...
By the way I am also getting inspira soft touch because of the guarantee and because of the fact that they felt a bit softer, but I am sure CUI are perfectly fine too, my surgeon said he never had any problems with either type of implants.
