Allergan CUI vs. Allergan Inspira?
I've decided I want Allergan implants once I've had an ultrasound on these PIP's and know what's going on (hopefully they are not ruptured but I'm not keen on keeping them in anyway!). Just wondering what's the difference between Allergan CUI and Allergan Inspira? Also is Inspira the same as Naturelle/Soft Touch? Confusing! Thanks ladies :) x

Allergan Natrelle Inspira is Allergan's premium range. You can choose between two gel fillings, either Responsive or Soft Touch.
Responsive is regular cohesive gel, the type that's been around a while and approved by the FDA. It's avantage is that it's stood the test of time, and it's the softest option.
The Soft Touch is the newest option, it's form stable high cohesive silicone, aka gummy bear. It's advantage is that it's meant to be an improvement on the older style gel, it tends to keep it's form more in case of a rupture, plus atm there's some indication that it may have lower rates of CC, but only time will tell with this one. The downside is that it's a little firmer, and can retain its shape a little more, though the difference isn't meant to be that big anyhow. And since it's so new it hasn't got FDA approval yet, though there are trials going on in the US and it's looking good.
CUI is their budget range, and it's filled with the same type of gel as the Responsive. Sorry if I can't give you more info on the CUI, but when I was making my choice I was mainly interested in the premium ranges, specifically Natrelle Soft Touch and Nagor Impleo. But a lot of girls on here have these and are very happy with them. xxx

Seeing as you had pips hun, I'd opt for the inspira just for the lifetime warranty and extra peace of mind. The cui are good don't get me wrong. But you had budget ones before with pips. The nagor impleo are rated as good as the inspira soft touch as well.

Thanks both! I think I will opt for the premium ones - steering towards Responsive for the FDA approval. Are the CUI's FDA approved do you know Crystal and if they are filled with the same stuff as the Inspira's then what's the difference, stronger or? What implants are you going for?x

The cui are not fda approved. They are the budget range and cost the clinic about 100 pounds to buy. They have the same sort of gel as the responsive but have a different shell. The inspira have 3 layers to their shell. I think the inspira cost 400 or 600 pounds to buy.

Lol things are always changing, i have a job to keep up with all
Re: Allergan CUI vs. Allergan Inspira?
One last question promise! The Responsive is FDA approved, does that mean the actual Allergan Inspira is FDA approved aswell or just the filling? :S

Allergan Natrelle Inspira Responsive is for the UK market, not the US market. In the US you get Allergan Natrelle Silicone Matrix, they're pretty much the same likeness. Unlike the round Natrelles in the UK, you have no choice gel filling, you can only get the older style gel in the US (what we would call responsive here), the form stable Soft Touch is not an option there yet xxx

It's only the soft touch gel that is fda approved. The responsive gel is not fda approved
Re: Allergan CUI vs. Allergan Inspira?
Misf1 the Responsive is the softer one that's FDA approved. The Soft Touch is the firmer more cohesive form stable one, and it's not approved by the FDA because it's not been around as long as the Responsive. I know the name is confusing, and you'd think it's the other way around though. You'll see in the UK catalogue, Soft Touch is firmer than Responsive.

Yes you are right hun, it is the responsive. My brain is playing tricks on me today. I went to smoke earlier and I really thought I'd put the fag in my mouth but no, there I was trying to light thin air

It's the kind of thing I would do! I frequently look for my glasses only to realise I've left them on top of my head again!
