Tuberous breast
Hi there, I am new to this site and have never posted on a forum before so forgive me if I do this wrong!
I have so far been for one BA consultation, the surgeon said my left boob is tuberous...I have always dispised by boobs as I was teased at shcool for havng 'pointy weird boobs' this is my main reason for BA are there any surgeons in London who are specialists in this area? I am petrified of getting them done and they look even worse than they do now!
many thanks for your time :)

Re: Tuberous breast
Hi Louise,
We don't have a surgeon as yet, sorry I should have added a sticky.
You're more than welcome to ask Snake this question, however he may be vague as regards surgeon recommendations. For now, I've moved this into the general surgery section.
Thanks lovely.

Re: Tuberous breast
Apparently I have slight tubular boobs hun, I didnt know either this until I met the surgeons at my consults. I too have the 'cone pointy shaped boobs' hun, I did some research and at one of my consults, one of the pc's at the clinic showed me lots of pre/post op pics of the my surgeons work on tubular boobs, which looked fab and filled me with confidence.
Hes going to have to do my procedure a little differently and advised me to opt for a bigger implant to correct the shape. I really felt comfortable with my surgeon and the fact that he had a lot of experience with tubular boobs was lucky because if he didnt I too would have to find a different surgeon.
Btw I have heard that you can get tubular boobs treated on the NHS hun, maybe visit your gp and explain and they could put you in contact with some specialists who specialise in tubular breasts.
Good luck lovely xxxx

Re: Tuberous breast
Hia, I had a right tuberous breast (I had very bad asymmetry because of this aswell) I am now 7weeks post op and I am soo happy!! The smaller tuberous breast is still quite tight in comparison to the larger one but it looks like a normal boob and I can have a cleavage which i really struggled with before. I always new my right boob was funny, it was small pointy with a huge areola and very constricted underneath. I investigated it under the NHS and some PCTs do BAs for that reason however I wanted for a year and just was getting upset about it all so went private. Look for a surgeon who specialises in breast corrective surgery and reconstruction as well as BAs and other cosmetic surgery. Ask for photos of their previous tuberous breast work...i saw my surgeons and they were fab! They also did mine through the nipple do to this so that is also something to discuss with the surgeon.
Good luck on your journey to get this sorted. Believe me its completly worth it!!!

Re: Tuberous breast
Hello Louise!!
There is many girls with this concern...you are not alone!! Also you should seek out a reputable Plastic and reconstructive surgeon with all the relevant experience and qualifications as the others have said. A visit to G.P. as Loo has said would be a good starting point for you and the N.H.S. often assist with this even for advice to enable you to know it is common and what can and shold be done to correct. I wish you well xxx

Re: Tuberous breast
Welcome to the site, It is important to feel confident that your ps can give you a result you're after so maybe book a couple more consultations with other surgeons and get their advice. Also ask to see before and afters of tuberous breasts they have done and ask for the number they have done, its best to have someone who has done a lot and has experience with it, good luck x

Going to give Dr's a call tomorrow and see if they can do anything NHS wise, although not sure i can wait (getting really quite excited at the prospect of new boobies!)..at worst they can give me some pointers in terms of surgeons..
cannot express how brilliant this forum is!
thank you girls!

Re: Tuberous breast
Hello! This is only my second post here. I also have tuberous breasts, and I find them absolutely disgusting. I'd love to get them done properly. I'm out of UK, but those things you've stated are rather helpful. Thanks a lot.
