tuberous breasts?
Hi girls~
My head is spinning a little as was told yesterday that I might have tuberous breasts and that the cost for my op will be significantly more as the op would be a little more complicated.
I wondered if any of you lovely ladies have had a similar thing at all? Was it much more expensive for you?
Sorry for all the questions! Prob getting sick of me!
Hxx

Re: tuberous breasts?
Don't ever be sorry for asking questions that's what were are here for, so ask as many as you like.
If your consultation was with a nurse, they aren't experts on surgery so probably shouldn't be advising you on this.
Best thing to do is have a few surgeon consultations to see what your options are and they will advise on costs which can vary from individual hospitals/clinics.
Also once you decided on a particular surgeon you can also check to see where they operate, as some work from more than one place, you can sometimes get the same surgeon at a better price depending on where you choose to have surgery.( Eg a particular surgeon in Scotland works with Transform average surgery cost for BA with him there is £3995, same surgeon with BMI costs an average of £4700!)
Until you have seen surgeons and been examined you won't know what your particular surgery will involve, though if your breasts are mildly tuberous I wouldn't think it would make surgery overly complicated.
Hopefully someone with experience of this will be along to advise you some more shortly. XXX

Re: tuberous breasts?
I'm afraid I'm going to agree with mirren - you saw a nurse, not a surgeon, so she's not an expert. Until you see a couple of surgeons for opinions, you won't know what your true options are. Could be that they are mildly tuberous, seeing as you've never noticed or had an issue before, so a normal BA might be fine. This is why it's best to get several opinions and take an average.
In the meantime there have been plenty of girls on here with the same thing, pop it in the search bar to pull up some stories.

Re: tuberous breasts?
I had my op a week ago today and after my surgery my surgeon told me he noticed I had a very mild case of tuberous breast but it wasnt an issue and went ahead with surgery as normal. You may find its not that bad and wont affect you. I did wonder a couple of years ago if I had this as when my nipples are relaxed they are quite puffy. But now ive had my boobs done, I barely notice it at all. Go see some surgeons and see what they say :) x

Re: tuberous breasts?
Thankyou, that is reassuring to know. If I do I'm sure it's not severe as I don't feel I look like the images on Google lol but what do I know! I have an appointment with the consultant in just under two weeks (wish it was sooner!) so I guess I'll know more then! Hope you're healing well and are absolutely besotted with your new additions!! Xx
