Hi ladies,

My surgery date is 18th Dec, so two weeks on Friday and I haven't received a date for my pre op yet? 

Should I email them tomorrow, would of thought I should have received something by now?

Yep give them a shout. Mine was supposed to be today (so over 2 weeks in advance) but I moved it to next tues - so it's just a week in advance. If for no other reason you need to plan your life around it so need to get a date in! X

Yes give them a call, i got my pre op date when i booked the date of my op...give them a call tomorrow x

Just give them a call or an email. I've read on here that some ladies pre-op is just a telephone appointment to ask some questions and the rest done the morning of admission but I would definitely give them a call just to find out xx

My pre op was just a phone call. I had to submit a medical questionnaire prior to that. They'll do the rest (weight, blood pressure etc) on admission. I guess if there had been any reason for concern in my medical history I might have had to go in, but I'm all good to go apparently. By all means give them a bell. I think all clinics have their individual procedures.

Thank you ladies for all your replies and reassurance, I was getting panicky.

I emailed my surgeon's PA late last night and she got back to me first thing, the medical questionnaire I filled out is all I need to do (Like you said Macromilly) I don't have any medical history problems that calls for me to go in and the rest will be done on the day. PHEW!
