The position of boobs
hi ladies. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this right but hopefully someone knows what I mean...
When you get implants will they sit higher then your current natural boobs? I have breastfed so am currently a deflated 32c and I don't have saggy boobs as such (nothing that the surgeon believes will warrant a lift)
When I put implants in there (at the moment I'm thinking of 430cc overs) will it make my boobs sit higher up on my chest? So the upper pole is filled and the bottom slightly lifted
Thanks x

Re: The position of boobs
When they first go in they are high up but I am currently 2 weeks post op and they have settles to where my my boobs were before but obviously a very full bottom, nipple exactly central and a nice fullness ontop. Not the big round circle effect on top just fullness.

Re: The position of boobs
The easiest way to think of it is like this - If you've just had a straight forward BA, your boobs will be exactly the same, but bigger. Simple as that. You'll have the same breast crease, the same cleavage, just bigger.
In the first few months while they are box fresh still, they will sit high and tight and D shaped, but as they drop and soften, they will move into their natural position. As they soften and fluff, gravity will take hold of the silicone, and it will settle to the lowest point, so rounds become tear shaped with a fuller bottom pole, and a slope at the top.
If your surgeon doesn't think you warrant a lift, then it's because he trusts that the implant alone is going to do enough to fill the breast, so it'll be fine.

Re: The position of boobs
I was saggy, on verge of needing a lift but I didn't want one, went for the conical furries as PS suggested would give a good lift without the need for further surgery. I wasnt symmetrical nipple wise and I'm still not but doesn't bother me. I wasn't to high in the chest either, straight after op obviously swollen but not as high as I expected xx

Re: The position of boobs
Hi, charlii has explained it to a T. Mine are the same shape more or less just a bit wider if you know what I mean. Fuller but sit in the same crease xx

I'm hoping to look on the biggish side of natural. Do you think that's too big?

It's only too big if you think it's too big for you. If you like how they look, go for it.

Re: The position of boobs
Anne's right. We put far too much pressure on our end 'size' thinking in bra size, rather than how it looks. But if it suits you and your body, it doesn't matter what bra you're wearing. A friend of mine was adamant mine weren't a 32E, but that was the bra I was in. Letters and numbers mean nothing if you're happy!

Yes that's true. I've called today and provisionally booked the 19th October eeek! I'm hoping that I won't feel as nervous with it being so close.
But I doubt that will work! Haha xx

Re: The position of boobs
I had 430 anatomicals Hun, and I'm only measuring a 32DD. No way do they look that big in clothes though. My perception of a DD before my BA was that they were massive, but they just aren't at all. Like the girls say, don't worry about the letters, just go for what you feel will suit you. Photos are the best way to show your surgeon what you hope to achieve X

Re: The position of boobs
Ibe purposely booked a closer date because I know if it's too far away I'll back out. My full consultation isn't until oct 12th (have only had the free one so far) so I'm a bit nervous about fitting everything in to those dates. I've also got a consultation with Harley medical but I don't like that their surgeons aren't baaps registered so may cancel it.
I have no idea how to add a ticker x

Re: The position of boobs
Hi, you go onto the ticker factory you can find it on google. Make sure you feel really happy with the surgeon you choose. It's always best in my opinion to go for a BAAPS surgeon. That's only my opinion of course. It's always good to have a few consultations so you can compare too. Xxx

Re: The position of boobs
He's a baaps surgeon. He also works for the nhs in reconstruction and I can't find a bad word about him online. A very good friend of mine is a theatre assistant and she recommended him to me. He was even on embarrassing bodies once fixing someone's boobs and he made me really at ease during the appointment. I've got a consultation booked with Harley medical too but honestly it's more to try on sizes than anything else because I'm 99.9% sure he's the one for me.
I'm excited to get a ticker sorted :D

Re: The position of boobs
The appointment is with a pcc and their booklet doesn't say anything about baaps which is what put me off because originally they'd have probably been my first choice x

Re: The position of boobs
A lot of people think of Harley purely on the name, whereas you read around here, there's very mixed reviews. Keep the appointment, but ring them back and insist on seeing a surgeon same day. A PCC is just a saleswoman, and is in no way medically trained, so they cant advise you on anything other than the price.

Re: The position of boobs
Ooh fab thanks Charlie I didn't realise I could do that. She made it sound as if I wouldn't get the opportunity to see a surgeon until after I'd paid! Xx
