Tightness
So I just did my first school run since my op. Jeez I was mega nervous but nobody noticed! I did scarf up though. Have to say the walk round there wasn't great. Wanted to stop and just clutch my chest but couldn't obviously. It's the tightness, it's so horrid.Takes your breath away.
I DO FEEL LOADS BEST TODAY, but that was hard work so was just wondering when it will pass?
It literally feels like Braxton Hicks, but in your chest...not your belly!
And my right boob is going yellow nr my incision. Really bruised.
Seeing the post op nurse tomorrow so will get some advise there. But the tightness is such a pain!
Putting my jeans on was a frikkin mission too. ...eek

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] avi looks awesome!!!
It took a good few weeks for the morning/whenever you move boob to go away for me, but within a week it had improved massively - i was sleeping kind of on my side after 5 days.
I think the tightness is almost your body trying to look after itself. I found even daft stuff like just walking a bit slower than i usually would really helped.
I gave up on jeans for at least a week as well
I'm sure the bruising isn't much to worry about, i had one on my sternum & the nurse said it was totally normal to get some bruises. Glad you're starting to feel better hun xx

Re: Tightness
They look great! Bruising is all fine, I was yellow all the way round, all up my ribs too. Take it slow, like emz said, if you slow it down a notch, it'll really help. You've had a major operation, and it's difficult to remember you can't just go straight back to normal life. Your body will let you know how much it can take.
