Chest tightness and I'm a bad mom
I had my BA yesterday and I'm feeling very tight in my chest. I have absolutely no pain, just tightness that is very uncomfortable. My experience was fantastic. I couldn't believe how calm I was leading up to going in. My two lovely sisters came with me so that helped in keeping me calm.
I went in to the OR at 12:00 and was released at 3:30. My surgery took just over two hours. I couldn't believe how fast they let me go. I'm glad they did because the school never gave the message to my daughter to go to afterschool care so she walked home by herself. It's only a block but she's only seven years old. Thank god I left the back door unlocked. When I came running(yes running right after surgery)she was sitting in the living room crying. Poor girl was so scarred. I feel like a horrible mom and I keep apologizing. She's ok but a little traumatized. What a day

Awww Potchie, you are not a bad mum, the school neglected to tell your little girl the message. This is the schools fault, not yours!!!
Kids really are more resilient than what you think and tomorrow it will be forgotten lol
Well done on your new boobies and I wish you lots and lots of luck for a speedy recovery.
Just take it easy and relax now.
xx

Sweetheart, your daughter is safe that's the main thing, I would however be making a call when you feel up to it to complain though sweetness, that was a terrible thing for the school to have neglected her in that way, you babe, have nothing to be feeling guilty about
The tightness you're experiencing is very normal babe, you might find that gets a little worse around day 3/4 DON'T WORRY that's normal and does settle generally over the course of a week, possibly heading into two...
Give you daughter a big hug (watch ya boobs though! lol) and having one back from her will make you feel so much better too - hugs are GREAT!

Hey,
don't beat yourself up over it, it's not your fault in the slightest.
actually you should speak with the school and let them know you're not impressed.

Re: Chest tightness and I'm a bad mom
I'm going to talk to them on monday. I didn't think I could do it when I was all high from surgery. It just broke my heart that I was doing something so selfish and my little girl was so scared. I know it's not my fault but I was maybe a little emotional after surgery. Thank you all for making me feel better. XX

Re: Chest tightness and I'm a bad mom
There's nothing selfish about a mum who once in a while does something special just for her.
I'm sure your daughter thinks you're the most special person in the world, just like all of us mums are.... now, come monday, you use a whole ton of that specialness and give the school hell when you call Potchie! THEY deserve it. xx

Bless you sweetie, I'm sure she will forget all about it and as everyone has said it was definately not your fault. I can't believe how quickly you were out of hospital after your surgery. Make sure you get some rest hun xx
