Check with clinic whether dressings are shower proof as I hadn't thought I could have a shower for week it two but was told they were shower proof so had shower from day 1! Just keep my back under the shower!

You definitely do have tube put down your throat as you are under GA and your airway needs to be kept open! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] you would have! I was dreading the throat but just had a dry tickle for an hour or so after!

After writing this I googled it and did notice that it is a must!
It's the 'twlight' anesetic that is a 'maybe', sorry for my precious message.. Just goes to show you can't rely on everything you read online! :) thanks Becky xx

I've had 2 ga's in last year and 1 I had a sore throat, the other I didn't! No idea if I had a tube though!

They remove the tube for your airway just as your coming round, but you don't know anything about it. It's just to keep your airway clear. You would be surprised all the machines and wires that you are attached too. I never had a sore throat just a bit dry, I like the feeling of the GA. I must be mad xxx
