Making Lists =D
So I've started making a proper list this morning of things I'll need (with the help of Cookies post)
Which include:
Mags
iPad
Camera
Mobile + Charger
Overnight Stay
Clean underwear
Sports bras in different sizes
Loose fitting, button up PJs
'Lady' wipes
Face cleansing wipes
Carmex or Lip Balm
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Deoderant
Hairbrush & bands/clips etc
Slippers or thick socks
Night gown
Snacks
Strepsils
Dry shampoo
Journey Home
Sick Bag
Pillow
Meds
Also need to order some ice packs, back heat strap, and buy some extra pillows, hibiscus body wash.
Is there anything else anyone would recommend? Thanks

Re: Making Lists =D
I found a good link on this site to a list someone else had made and used that. It was a really thorough one too which I loved!
Perhaps Cookie or Charlii might know the link? xx

Re: Making Lists =D
Sounds like you've got everything there. I didn't take much with me at all and didn't use half of it!
Mags - I took a book and didn't even read a page.
iPad - I took laptop and didn't turn it on
Snacks - I took gluten free snacks and never needed them... too much food lol
Strepsils - I personally didn't need them
Dry shampoo - Didn't take to the hospital
'Lady' wipes / Face cleansing wipes - They gave me a wash after theatre (remove iodine etc) There was also wipes in the room.
xx

Yeah not sure if i'll actually need the dry shampoo with me, but might be worth having for home. I'm over in Prague for 3 more days after op so will likely need the wipes lol. I dare say I'll probs wont bother with the mags either although IPad will be good for flight out there xx

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Most of the list is from a thread cookie had made ;)
I've thought about a V pillow but it seems more people prefer just extra normal pillows? xx

Re: Making Lists =D
I would take everything you have mentioned just in case you feel you want it... better to have too much than not enough ay!
I think I may try to V pillow again tonight, I don't feel like I need to be as high anymore (4-5 pillows), but also don't want to slip again! The only bit I didn't like about the v pillow was I felt my shoulders were pushing my boobs in which hurt down the middle (swelling) xx

Re: Making Lists =D
I barely used anything but a bottle of water with a sports cap was a god send as sitting up every time I wanted a drink wasn't ideal!

I took a whole lot of things with me & didn't need or use them, was overnight stay & pretty much slept of & on all night.
Though still think better to have everything & not need it than need it & not have it. XXX

Re: Making Lists =D
Because my back was giving me a lot of pain, due to slouching over trying to protect my new assets, I don't think I could have sat in my sofa without my v pillow keeping my back strait. I had a v pillow with a normal pillow at the base of my back. That was the worst bit for me I think xxx

Re: Making Lists =D
Same as the girls, I took a bunch of stuff I didn't need! My V pillow on the day was great, but I couldn't sleep with it afterwards. I use it mostly on the couch now. Take an electric toothbrush if you can, even a cheapie one, because the jiggle of brushing your teeth will be sore. Over here there are generally free-view in the rooms, but yes, take mags books ipad etc in case there isn't over there. Toiletries and easy on clothes. That's it really!

Wipes for your lady parts! You can get specially ph balanced ones to 'freshen up'. It's likely all a marketing ploy!

Johnsons baby wipes are just as good & you can use them every where not just on your lady bits. X

Loving the above conversation!! Have to say I tried the pillow under legs last night and its so much more comfy than just pillows holding you up!
Check with clinic whether dressings are shower proof as I hadn't thought I could have a shower for week it two but was told they were shower proof so had shower from day 1! Just keep my back under the shower!

The anaesthetist may need to put a tube in your throat to help you breathe, they do it all when your asleep.
I didn't wake up with a sore throat so I don't think I had it. x
