Arnica
Been told Arnica help heals the wounds has anyone else used it for that. Have tablets as wounds have dressing on.

Re: Arnica
It helps to prevent bruising. You can use it once you have a bruise but prevention is always better than a cure.
How many days post op are you now lovely?
You may not feel the full benefit.
It's usually recommend about 5 days before and 5 days after (not on the day of op) but every surgeon may tell you differently.
Mine said I could take it if I wished but doesn't advertise it x

Re: Arnica
My local herbal shop said it also helps with healing. Taking 2 tablets every 4 hours. I've used it for the bruising but never for healing.

Re: Arnica
It's homeopathic so take it if you believe in these types of remedies. Some surgeons recommend, some don't! It's indicated for bruising which is probably what she was referring to when she said healing x

Re: Arnica
Echoing Mammamia, its homeopathic, so there's no proof. Me and hubs both took it for surgeries and bruised like peaches, some girls here don't take it and have minimal bruising. What best for healing is fresh fruit and veg, white proteins and plenty of water.

Re: Arnica
I used it and whilst I can't say whether my healing would have been any different, once I stopped using it bam my bruising made an appearance! I had minimal bruising before that, but like I said, who knows whether healing would have still been like that regardless?
It doesn't do any harm to take it, so nothing to lose if you feel happy taking it :)
