Lymph node removal. Empty Lymph node removal.

Post by COOKIE 8th January 2015, 8:07 pm

I recieved a letter the other day from my thoracic surgeon saying he wants the lymph node out and has booked me in for surgery on the. 18th if February. If I have this op then I won't be able to have my Breast Augmentation and I really don't want to leave the lymph node in any longer than necessary so hubby and I agreed the best thing all round would be to get Mr McG to remove the lymph node as well on the day of surgery. So we emailed him and asked would he be able to do it and how much. He said yes it'll be fine to remove it and the price remains as it stands.

I really am so overwhelmed by the kindness and care shown. It's going to be very difficult for me and I'm going to be fully dependent on hubby for at least two weeks but it's doable and it'll be all over and done with in one surgery. dance

This is all new to me after all I've been through!

I keep expecting someone to jump out at me and say "HAHA! Gotcha!"

2 weeks in close proximatey to hubby might drive us both nuts though. We shall see who falls first lol. Xx

Not all surgeons and clinics are the same it's a shame bad experiences have tarred it, however I believe in in very safe and caring hands now and it makes for such a better experience and recovery.

2weeks with hubs 24/7 Hysterical I had MONTHS of it when he had spinal disc surgery bless him.

Ohhhhh yeah! I may wake up tied a bed in some strange room with both legs smashed up like in Misery...but gorgeous looking knockers Hysterical

Heehee, seriously though, if that's the case I feel so honoured. I'm waited for this guy for a long time and now I'm almost there I just wished I'd walked out of the other place years ago and saved myself quite a bit of surgery too.

I personally just think he's a decent human being who as my surgeon just wants the best for me. Xx

I'm so happy to read that Dr McGod will help you with the lymph nod!
He is SO easy to deal with!

He removed some not so pretty looking moles from my tummy during my liposuction without charging any extra for it. He even used one of the scars from the mole to put in the liposuction canula (? hoover ?) so he didn't need to make any extra holes in me.

I can't wait for your surgery Cookie! You are so worth 2 healthy, good looking boobs! Flash

He really is such a good man isn't he. I'll have to buy him something really nice for after my surgery now.

I'm peeved Christmas has just been and gone though...I think he would have rocked a good Christmas jumper lol.

That's such a nice thing he did for you too isn't it Isabell.

I'm so excited to see my new boobs I could pee Isabell! I just have a feeling in my gut that these boobs are going to be the ones I wanted 8 years and five surgeries ago. Xx

Cheers [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

@Mirren I actually feel the same way. There's always been some drama surrounding my surgery, but this time....I cNt say a bad word at all about the clinic or the surgeon. They've both been incredibly swift with their responses which matters lots to me having previous experience of being ignored. I actually think the last clinic I went with had my number in its memory and the moment my number flagged up it said "don't pick up"! Lol.

None of that matters now though. New year - New surgeon - new boobs. dance
