Do I need to buy my own strap?
I'm having anatomicals with Mr lahoud on Monday. Do I need to wear a strap to make sure they don't rate for a time? Do I have to buy this myself ?

Hi just do what your surgeon asks you. I think you would have to not take it easy and lift heavy stuff for them to turn. Xxx

If you 'NEED' a strap your surgeon will provide you with one Loui. But definitely do not use one if your surgeon hasn't instructed you to do so. Xx

Thanks ms he hasn't mentioned one I didn't know whether to buy one just in case. I've bought a m and s zip bra in a 34e it's slightly wrinkly so a bit if room there now. Wondering whether it was be too tight or ok with the swelling or ether to invest in a macom

There is no need to buy one just in case. I've only ever seen one girl come through that wasn't provided with one, but she was told months in advance. If you need one, you'll likely wake up with it.

I have been supplied with the macom. Again the surgeon may supply you with one . Every surgeon seems so different . Xxx

If no-ones mentioned a strap, you won't need one.loui1981 wrote:Thanks ms he hasn't mentioned one I didn't know whether to buy one just in case. Straps are used for women who have very tight muscle and need a little additional force (the strap) to force the implants downwards. You already have a pocket made and stretched for the new implant Loui, so I think it highly unlikely you'd need a strap at all.
Are you usually a 34 band? If you are you'll be pushed for room around the band if you have a lot of swelling. It's the same with Macoms or any front fastener. If you've alot of swelling around the band you can't add extenders...I personally advise everyone to buy a back fastener along with any front fastening bras. For the price of sports bras which are generally around £19-£25 for a decent cheapie M&S do a two pack for £29 which is a bargain so you could buy those in a 34 band as well and a pack of extenders which are a couple of pound. If you find by day 3 you've no additional swelling and the 34 fits fine you've got 3 good bras to fit. If you find you have additional swelling, you have your extenders to use then to make you more comfortable.
Just a suggestion. If you'd rather have 2 front fasteners it's your Breast Augmentation babe, your decision. Xx

Thanks cookie reason I mentioned the band is because anatomicals are different in that the pocket needs to be exact. As ours are already a pocket there from the rounds I think the risk of rotation is there. Has your surgeon mentioned wearing one cookie?

Nope, I'm just to wear a sportsbra for two weeks then a crop top after that with no support.
Tell ya what Loui, ive just been looking at bras and found 2 M&S back fastening high impacts in your size - 34E for £11! They are used, but if you don't mind that there's a real bargain to be had HERE
If you're not interested in them though I'm sure someone would snap em up in the grab a bargain section but I thought I'd show you first. Xx

Your surgeon will advise you on what to wear post op , everyone's different & has different post op advise, I have seen some surgeons with anatomicals recommending wearing nothing post op not even a bra! if you are to purchase something in advance best contacting your surgeon to see what he advises for you.
