Re: breast strap
Haha!!
I had partial unders and had to wear one for 2 weeks but it's not that bad, honest! By the end of the week weeks I wanted to keep wearing one as it feels like it does something! lol! If you have unders the chances are you will have to wear one but ask your surgeon. It's a breeze though :) xx

Re: breast strap
I agree with Zebra. Some ladies hate it but I found it quite comfy. I had to.wear it for 10 days. The only awkward thing was finding clothes to wear because your boobs and nipples are commando! Lol my nipples were and still are quite erect so they stuck out of everything i wore. i had to live in baggy tops Xx

Re: breast strap
What does a breast strap do?
I'm having partial unders and my surgeon hasn't mentioned using one; only that I need a sports bra for him to put on me after surgery?

Re: breast strap
Yeah me too Queeny! No bra for two weeks was so weird and so not practical when going out... I just didn't really leave the house for two weeks to save the weird looking strappy boob look!
Lucy, it's a velcro fastening strap that sits above the boobs like a boob belt! Nice and tight to keep the boobs in place and to stop them from popping up to your chin...

Re: breast strap
Every surgeon is different but my surgeon loves doing unders and always says no bra for 2 weeks with a breast strap! I loved it, saved the hassle of not knowing what size to buy then lived in the Macom!

Re: breast strap
Zebra - think we're the only ones that actually like the strap. most people seem to hate it!
Tinkerbell - i think the main problem I've read girls having is that it digs under their armpits. i was told that if this happens then just cut a little slit under each armpit to release the pressure a bit and it'll help with the rubbing.
Lucy - Not all surgeons use the strap when doing unders. they will each have their own recovery methods. some say use a strap some say sports bra and some say commando. so just go with whatever your surgeon recommends hun Xx

Re: breast strap
I don't know if I like the idea off it :(
Do you think my surgeon oils have mentioned it if I was going to have one?
He told me Defo no drains and that he would put on my sport bra while I was still under GA as he puts them on.
Xxx

Re: breast strap
I had that issue to but nothing a few cotton wool pads don't fix! Pad it out nicely and really helps with the digging in the arm pit thing.

Wow, Nikki didn't think overs girls had to wear one! lol!
Lucy don't worry, I guess he would have said if you needed one. It's a breeze though I found. I didn't mind the drains either, the get pulled out in seconds! I have had worse pain!!

Re: breast strap
Yeah it's amazing the difference after a BA! Even though I'm not 100% with them just yet I have never had my boobs out with my other half so much! Always got them out wandering round the house, haha! x

Re: breast strap
I had overs and I didn't have to wear a strap. Regarding the nipple hardness, though, my nipples are basically 100% hard all the time now since my BA because they're so swollen. I guess it doesn't help that I have them pierced haha. You're going to be so excited when you have them done that it won't matter how hard your nipples are! haha
