Do unders always get the strap ??

Hey girls,

I'm posting on behalf of my friend, I had overs and had the strap for 2-3 weeks, she had unders and had no strap and hasn't dropped really atall yet, she is 3 weeks post op ...

Did anyone else have unders and NOT have to wear the strap !? If so did u find you dropped eventually (how long?) or did u need to use pressure an massage etc ?

Also she is still in quite alot of pain and really can't do an awful lot yet with her arms etc.. Also she can't sleep on her side as its still too sore, I'm looking for a bit of advice and maybe to help ease her worries about it all if u can girls. Unfortunately as i had overs i cant really relate ?? ...

So u had unders, no strap and urs have dropped them selves ? How long did it take for u to notice they were dropping ? Thanks mytime xxx

has she had her 3 week post op appointment yet?? she could ask then, otherwise tell her to give her clinic a ring, as the strap should help push her implants down x

I didn't have a strap and had unders but my sister did and she had unders too. Every surgeon is different she still has plenty of time anyway.

Aw right ? I was under the impression almost everyone with 300cc+ (she is 380/410) that goes under has a stap ... Good to hear that some haven't and thier boobs dropped themselves ... Did u find it took ages ?

Hi, I had 390 unders with an uplift and had no strap. My surgeon said he wanted them back up there not strapped down lol. Mine never seemed high up but definately dropped more around 3 months po but as I say they wern't high to begin with.

Every surgeon is different and the every person's recovery is different to so with regards to her being able to do stuff with her arms it's unfortunately just a waiting game. Best for her to get it all checked at her next appointment with her ps who I'm sure will reassure her it's all normal xx

Hi. I had 275cc unders and no strap. I am 3 wks post op too and they definitely haven't dropped. When I saw my PS yesterday, he said I was to start massaging them to soften the implant. He also said that the first month is all about recovery from the op and it's in the next month onwards that you start to see more aesthetic changes - ie softening and dropping.

Tell your friend that I am still in quite a lot of pain too and my sides hurt still too and it is hard for me to reach up for things on high shelves etc!

I am positive things will get better over the next week or so.

Uggg!! That strap will be the end of me! It's torture!!! Tell your friend she's lucky she didn't get it!!! ;-)

In all seriousness,

I had 250 partial unders and I was given 'the strap' 3 days post-op. I just had my 6 day post op today and told my PS that I HATED IT! I also said that I couldn't stand sleeping on my back any longer. :-)

He said that the strap is meant to accelerate the dropping process, but it's nothing that Sir. Issac Newton's law wouldn't take care of given a little more time.

I bet if your friend wants one, she can get it, but I think that it is true that some surgeons don't believe in it; they think the boobs should be in about the right position at the time of surgery.

I had unders and haven't been given a strap. I'm only 7 days post op so can't say about 'dropping' just yet xx

I had unders Hun and have to wear the strap for 6 weeks, went to my 4 week app the other day and I'm going to have wear it longer as one of my boobs has dropped but the other hasn't x
