CC rates in overs vs. unders/partial unders
Hi Ladies,
Sorry to flood the forum recently, but my boobie birthday is quickly arriving, and I'm really nervous/excited!! Anyway, I had my final consult with my PS today, and we decided on 250 mod + round silicone mentor overs. At first I was really excited; I've always wanted overs because I like the jiggle effect and higher hopes for cleavage! Tonight, however, I've been doing some research, and I found that the rate of CC in overs is higher than unders/partial unders.
My question is: How much higher? (2x? 5x? 10x?) I seem to read so many conflicting reports online.. I was wondering if any of you had any concrete info.
xoxo

HI I am not to sure where you are having your surgery but I am having over and having the Furry Brazillian implant which reduces the chance of CC from 15% to less than one percent. Does your surgeon use them at all?

I don't think there is an actual percentage in numbers that could acuratly say how much % would be reduced with unders. It really just depends on how your body forms a capsule around the implant, and if it forms a firm capsule you are going to get it whether you have overs or unders/partials. Usually you are covered for a re op in the first few years if you do develop CC.

Thank you mistf1! I have chickened out with the overs and now will be going with partials.
The truth is that the data just aren't there to definitively say one way or another regarding CC and over vs under.
I definitely think you are right, it depends more on the individual and the type of capsule YOUR body forms...unfortunately there just isn't a blood test for that yet!
