Cosmetic nurse advisor appointment
Hi girls
I'm new to all of this and have said my hellos to a few of you. I have looked into BA A LOT recently and have my cosmetic nurse advisor appointment this afternoon at the spire in Cardiff. Does anyone know what this appointment will involve? Xx

Re: Cosmetic nurse advisor appointment
Hi I'm quiet new as well, but I have had 2 consultations with my surgeon but not a nurse. If it's the same then they ask you lots of questions and you talk about what you would like. Then my surgeon had a look at my breasts and measured them. And recommend what will look best. I tried on some implants in my bra. Write down all the questions you would like to ask as I forgot a lot of the things . Due to excitement I think. I then had a second consult 2 weeks later. Which I was glad of. Hope it all goes well. Ask if you are going to see the surgeon that will be doing the augmentation.

It will involve a glorified sales woman who has no authority on surgery pushing you into a procedure. Sorry to be blunt. They are there for the sale, and are not qualified to advise you on the best procedure or sizing at all. You need to see a surgeon.
I saw one of these with Transform Reading and it was a complete waste of time and petrol. She quoted the website to me and then said 'so when do you want to book'. Needless to say I walked out.
Please be sure not to commit to anything until you have met with a surgeon that you trust.

I saw my surgeon, followed by a pcc (personal care coordinator), who let me try on the sizes advised by my surgeon, then took me through the pricing options (cui vs natrelle) but this will be all they're qualified to do. They're great for advice and info leading up to the day (not as good as us!), but anything regarding your body, nu-uh.

im going with spire but in my local area Washington. :)
when i had my consultation they were nothing like that at spire, i found the more commercial clinics like Mya and transform to be more pushy. Spire did not use any pushy techniques on me. They just gave me tonnes of information really down to earth , had glasses of champagne a gift bag of goodies. then i had a mini consultation with the surgeon.. then followed by a full consultation. that was my experience anyhow lolCharlii wrote:It will involve a glorified sales woman who has no authority on surgery pushing you into a procedure. Well for anyone who is going to be looking at this in the future I just want to say that Spire Cardiff were fantastic! They were extremely professional and the nurse consultant was absolutely lovely. Not a saleswoman at all, not at all pushy and built a great rapport with her. She gave me a ton of information and let me try on some implants to get an idea. And she has gone out of her way to try to get me booked in for as soon as possible as requested. Brilliant service. Xx

Re: Cosmetic nurse advisor appointment
I've had a fab experience with spire. Only ever saw my surgeon, never a cosmetic nurse. I had direct email and telephone contact with my surgeon or his secretary. It's really interesting to hear how different hospitals do things differently, even within the same group x

Heh - depends what you're after - I was Mya and Transform's sales girls but I used it to my benefit. I'd done A LOT of research, and had a lot of help from girls on here - I knew which surgeon I wanted (Mr Frati via MYA) so I played the 2 companies off against each other until I got the price I wanted. Managed to knock 2.5k off the original quoted price he he. NOT that price is the important thing, but I am poor, but I already knew the surgeon I wanted and used their selling techniques to my benefit.
