Hi Girls,

yes im back, surgery booked for 18th December and im off for another resizing appointment next Monday and to ask lots more questions.

im pretty nervous about my surgery i know im definatley going ahead with it this time. i am ready. I dont think im nervous about the surgery but im nervous about waking up & being high on morphine? will i be high of morphine or from the anesthetic .

Don't worry it's totally natural to be nervous! You won't wake feeling high, you'll just be drowsy. I've had 4 ga's over time and I've always enjoyed them!! Not a high feeling, just very relaxed and sleepy!

Its not a high like a drug high, its more a 'I just woke up and talking gibberish' high! Its nothing to be worried about at all. And I don't think they'll give you morphine unless you really need it. The GA will act as a painkiller to start, plus they'll pop a local in too, then they'll manage your pain as best they can. I was given codeine and tramadol, that's the good stuff (helped me sleep).
