useless nurse
I've just had a call back from the clinic nurse at THG as I'm still getting a lot of pain in my lefty. Wanna know what she said? 'I dunno, I don't really deal with patients much past 4-6wks'. Really? You must have at least some basic training to know if it's something to worry about, or give it another 2wks or something.
Sorry, it's just annoyed me. I'm going to get a new night bra and pop the sock back in for support, and stick with sports bras for another 2wks, but if it's still hurting this much I'm gonna go back and see my surgeon again. They still both look fine, no swelling or redness or nipple changes, just the pain, but it's been going on well over a a month now. I guess you just get worst case scenario in your head before the logical explanations.

Re: useless nurse
I don't think she was fobbing me off, I think she genuinely didn't know anything. It even took me suggesting muscular/nerve pain for her to go 'oh yeh, I guess it could be...'. Proper ditz. Just didn't sound confident in anything she was saying, didn't even suggest getting back in the sports bra for a couple weeks to see how it went, didn't ask any questions when I raised the subject of the steroids Im on...If she'd have just said, Im sorry, I don't think I can help you, my best suggestion would be to book back in with your surgeon, I'd have been happier. Gah!
K ,grumble over!
