Post by Gsyfem1982 20th October 2014, 9:12 am

Hello, I'm Donna! Can anyone please advise me, I'm 5"2 and weigh 10st, and wear size 14 clothes! I used to weigh 18st so have a lot of loose excess skin I would currently say I'm a very empty B cup. I'm having my BA on 19th Nov, I have made my final decision to go under the muscle and to go for tear drop shape, my surgeon has advised me to go for 415cc - Could anyone recommend what size they think this would make me.

It's really difficult to tell Donna. It's better giving your PS a picture of the look you want as sizes differ from person to person. I was a 32b/c and my first BA took me to a D cup which was a 365cc. My 2nd BA took me to an F cup (495cc) but I still didn't have the look I wanted. I've just had my 3rd BA on Friday. I had 650cc and I now have the look I want. I don't know what size I am or going to be because it takes a good few months for breasts to settle, and to drop and fluff. I'm very petite, size 8 top and bottom and my breast size is perfect for me. I dont look top heavy or too big and they look very natural. I think you should have a picture of the look you would like to achieve and then take it into your PS. It took me 3 BA's to get the right size so you need to be sure. I was also recommended teardrops but I read they can turn. I got round and mine look amazing xx hope this helps xx

Hi Wonderwoman, thank you for the advice I would like to be a large D at the biggest a DD. But I would rather end up a D than an E....I showed my surgeon the look I wanted and he has recommended 415cc.. xx

Pictures are great as in my experience my perception of a 'dd' is a lot bigger then the reality! Also remember a dd on a 32 band is very different to a dd on a 36 band for example. I wore a 34aa and didn't fill it, size 10/12, 5ft6, nearly 10 st and had 330cc, now a 32dd or 30f in bravissimo. I would trust what your surgeon has recommended so long as you've briefed him well!

Probably an E hun
at least but its guess work
one 415 implant on a skinny sz 6 for example would be list on a taller  size18
tricky decision
I agonised for ages on size x

Hi,
As others have said the same sized implant on 2 different people with similar sized bodies can get a totally different result as everyone's anatomy is unique.
Describing the look you are after along with showing the surgeon pictures is the best way for him to work out what sized implant will get that result for you.
Bra/ cup sizes are only numbers & letters it is better to focus on the look as bra size perceptions can be way out, I wanted what I thought was a full C cup, I have after BA what I thought a full C cup looked like but in reality I measure a DD/E, I would have been so disappointed if I had ended up measuring the C cup size wise.
A good way to see to variations between the band/ cup sizes is next time you are out in town shopping pick a cup size , say a D for eg then check out 3 or 4 band sizes with the same D cup size , that will let you see the vast difference between the sizes.

Perceptions of cup sizes are so skewed, its really not worth looking at this in terms of bra size. You really need to aim for a look. I went in after a 'C' cup, and came out with an E (mainly because I was wearing the wrong size to begin with). If you'd have told me that pre op I'd have freaked. But they suit my body and look great, and like Mirren says, if I was now a C I'd probably be disappointed. Focus on the look.
