Stressed over rash!!
Hi everyone :0 last time I wrote on here I was writing about my right boob which I believed had "dropped" and "fluffed". However now I am unsure whether this has happened to me. At my post op app with my surgeon he told me that instead of me having unders I had to have overs due to the muscle damage/distortion I had been left with from my first BA(long story). He said they will not change much now. However I think he is wrong, I think they will drop more! Soften and look more real in time. My right implant seems to have dropped and looks much bigger than the other, and from a few days ago. I also have a rash of small acne like spots down the middle of my breasts. My aunts who is a theatre nurse has looked and said I have no sign of infection but I feel so stressed, especially after last time. My skin on the right boob is also shiny and itchy at times. I really don't these implants to have to be taken out, I can't through it all again! But I know every surgery has risks .
Any advise ladies xx

Re: Stressed over rash!!
Hi,
You will still have changes to come regardless if you have overs or unders ( though unders sometime take longer ) . Everything still needs to settle & relax etc.
Spots & rashes are really common ,surgery can upset the balance in you glands causing greasy skin for a while.
Shiny skin is because your skin is stretched and tight over the implant & any swelling ,this is also common so nothing to worry about, it sometimes feels like sunburn, to relieve it you can moisturise the skin avoiding inscisions , ice packs can also help ( again avoiding inscisions) if the itch is driving you mad you can take an antihistamine like Piriton.
It's understandable having been what you've gone through to worry, were here to help where we can so just ask away. It's good you've got a nurse in the family too! If still overly concerned about anything don't hesitate to give your surgeon/ clinic a call even just for reassurance.XXX

Re: Stressed over rash!!
Mirren has said it all really. Hormones will be the cause of spots etc. How far along are you? Even at my 3m check up surgeon insisted they were done and wouldn't change anymore. Boy was he wrong, I fluffed and went up a cup in the 3m following! There are so many changes to come, you just have to be patient!

Re: Stressed over rash!!
Just checked & its not even a month since your surgery. Surgeons are genius's in that they can create fab boobs from next to nothing or saggy empty boobs, but I find it highly questionable when they think that after such a short time they have done all the settling & changing they are going to do.
You can be pretty certain by say the 12 month mark that they won't change much more results wise after that, other than the usual changes which also happen in natural boobs.
So you have lots to look forward to. XXX

Re: Stressed over rash!!
We've had MANY surgeons tell their patients early post that their boobs won't change here and I can PROMISE you... They ALL do So give your boobs time to heal lovely. Maybe take some weekly pics so you can see for yourself how they will be changing ove time. It's a nice little picture diary remembrance of your surgery to keep as well.
And as for the spots, Mirrens already said it's about the disturbance of the hormonal balance. Don't be afraid if they seem to stick around for a while too. Hopefully they'll go pretty soon, but mine lasted a couple of months. It really got me down, but I just had to keep in mind that they aren't going to stay there for ever which got me through. But it's very, very normal purplegirl. Xx

I had a rash for about a month, it just went all of a sudden. It might be an allergy to dressing x
