A bit stressed!! Empty A bit stressed!!

Post by jsweetie 2nd July 2013, 1:28 pm

Hi, I'm 4 weeks post op now and I'm getting a bit stressed because I've noticed over the last couple of days that my right boob has started to drop but the left one is still quite high. I wasn't sure if I was just being a bit paranoid but my son (bless him!!) and my hubby both agree. Should I be contacting my surgeon about this, or is it still early days? Also, my nipples are still really sore and sensitive, is this normal 4 weeks on?A bit stressed!! 267328

Hi jsweetie, I'm still pre BA but being on this site for a while I've seen girls all have similar worries but it can apparently take months to see the final result so don't worry yet! I'm sure girls with more experience will be able to help you out also :) (bless your son lol!!) xx

Hi I'm nearly 8 wk po and I still have loads of upper pole but my righty does seemed to have dropped more.
They were 2 seperate operations so will heal very differently and the final result can be up to 1 yr po.
If u do have any concerns though you can contact ur surgeon x

Its very normal to have one breast heal quicker than the other babe due to one possibly suffering a little more trauma whilst getting the implant in the than the other, so the breast that suffered less trauma will heal faster, as is happening with your righty.

You may find you have wonky boobs for a while and at just 4 weeks post op that's perfectly normal... Over time the left will drop too and catch up with righty, but it can take some time babe.. Or it may happen tomorrow! Its hard to say, but its not something I'd personally be worried about at just 4 weeks post-op babe. I had wonky boobs till 10 weeks post-op and by 12 weeks, they had perfect symmetry!

So give it time sweetie... They'll catch up with one another soon enough.

As always though. If you are overly concerned at all or just feel you need the reassurance from your surgeon, don't be shy of calling them lovely. You paid a heck of a lot of money for the aftercare package included, so do make use of it if you feel you'd like to. Xx

Hey jsweetie! Not sure if you saw my post on the June Buddies, but my hubby has a lovely new nickname for me - Lopsided Lottie! Righty is marginally (but noticably) lower than lefty at the moment. I had a little freak out, but at 4wks, im not that worried! Lefty will catch up eventually! Now I just have to make sure he doesnt call me that in public!

Like all the girls have said you have nothing to worry about. I'm still pre BA but I just know I'm gonna be the same and so impatient to see end results. Xx

As long as your boobs were symmetrical pre-op, then they will definitely even out in time x
