Unsure about size and worried about stretch marks!
Hi to everyone on here. I'm a newbie who has my surgery provisionally booked for 21st October. I have had my first consultation which was amazing and now my second one is this Thursday. I tried loads of implants at my last consultation and struggled to make a decision! I am having high profile Nagor unders due to lack of breast tissue. I am 41, 5ft11 and around 10st10-12. I wear a 12 at the bottom and a 8-10 at the top and am just looking to even myself up a bit! Would really like a D cup but I know results are not guaranteed. My other concern is stretch marks. I already have some from pregnancy which I know will stretch and be more obvious but really don't want any more! What do people think is better for preparing the skin, bio oil or palmers? I have LOADS more questions but thought I best just start with 2 lol!!

Re: Unsure about size and worried about stretch marks!
Sizing is always such a worry! Did you show your surgeon some photos of similar sized boobs that you liked? I found that was useful. Also there is a thread on here with pre and post op stats....I think it's in the information section. What size did he recommend for you? A lot of it is down to what they can fit so always good to trust their expertise too. Speak to them about your stretch mark worry as I'm sure they can advise on a size which doesn't over stretch you! Enjoy the journey!

Hi,
Moisturising your skin will keep it supple & in good condition ( doesn't have to be an expensive one, they all do the same job) I am dubious whether or not it will prevent stretch marks though as they happen in the deeper layers where moisturisers don't penetrate.
In filling out loose skin with the implant can actually make existing stretch marks look better and if you are unlucky to develop more they usually fade in time to be less noticeable.
Where you are unsure of sizes it can help if you print of some pictures of the size & look you are after to show your surgeon, as it is there in front of them to see & you can be sure you both have the same understanding. By just describing what you want you can't be sure they are visualising what you mean.
Once the surgeon knows the look you want they can then use their expertise to decide the size of implant needed to achieve your result.
Feel free to post away with all your other questions, that's what we are here for! XXX

Re: Unsure about size and worried about stretch marks!
Hi guys. Thanks for the replies. My surgeon has given me a maximum I can go up to but I can't remember what he said now!! I have very little breast tissue and he wants to make sure there is no rippling which he says I will get with too large an implant even under the muscle. I think I need to listen a bit more at this weeks consultation as my head was spinning last week as I was so excited! I'm also taking some of my dresses and tops this time to try under the implants to give me a better idea. I absolutely love my surgeon and his pa. They spent an hour and a half with me and my partner and still didn't rush us out of there. I just can't believe at 41 I am finally going to have my boobies! I've always been quite proud of my long legs and my curvy bum (have to work hard to keep in shape now though!) but still so bottom heavy. I just can't wait to feel complete!!

Hey hun, i had quite a few stretch marks already from having my son (hes 18 now). I started using Bio Oil 3 months before my op religiously and then continued from 6 weeks after. Straight after my op i was so worried as they looked quite bad around my nipples but as Mirren said, Im sure they look better than ever now!
What size are you now and what sizes have been reccommended for you? x

Unfortunately greybeard, if you're gonna get stretch marks... You're gonna get 'em. There absolutely nothing on the market that can prevent them. But in prepping your skin with moisturing day and night as Mirren said, you can at least make the skin as supple as possible to help with your skins elasticity and maybe lessen the risk.
As for size, it sounds to me like your surgeon has your best interests at heart in not being swayed to go bigger when he could heighten the risk of complication if he does.
Always bare in mind greybear - the right implant for you, is the implant that's going to best fit with the least risk of complication to you.
As mammamia suggested though, if you want to be sure and discuss size further with your surgeon, then pictures of the sized boobs you want are the best way to go.
Looking coward to chatting with you further and I hope the next consultation goes well.

Re: Unsure about size and worried about stretch marks!
Any moisturiser will do, doesn't have to be fancypants. I just use Nivea or Vaseline.
Re sizing, don't focus too much on a bra size, as I guarantee what you perceive to be a D cup, wont be. If I was told my implant would take me to an E, I'd have freaked and gone smaller, only to be disappointed (I was in the wrong band size too, which lends massively to your end result. Thought I'd come out 36C, not 32E!). You need to do what suits your body best. And remember, bigger isn't always better. Maybe try on some different size rice boobs at home to give you a general idea of how they'll look on you, they're a pretty good indicator.

Re: Unsure about size and worried about stretch marks!
hi and welcome
size is a question we see all the time on here and im one for bigger isnt always better as i do believe that cause I had the biggest my surgeon could squeeze in I have had problems, they mgiht not be down to this but I feel they are lol
but def take soem pictures on the size that you want as your D I can almost certainly say is not what my vision of a D is
as cookie said stretch marks if your going to get them then you will but use some cream now on the chest area and keep it soft and easier to stretch lol xx

Re: Unsure about size and worried about stretch marks!
Thank you so much for all your replies! I have my second consultation today so feeling excited. My surgeon requires a minimum of 2 consultations just to make sure you are happy but you can go see him as many times as you like. Luckily he is not like others I saw who would look at me at say you could get away with a 475. When I tried this I just looked ridiculous. Not the look I was hoping to achieve at all. I have got half a dozen items of clothing to take today which I hope will give me a better idea of what I want. Going to look for some pics now. As for pre op size I am a 32/34A so I do have limits. I wouldn't want rippling and I don't want to increase my chances of more stretch marks but I still want to be a decent size. At 5ft11 with big hips I can certainly pull it off! My surgeon said he doesn't go by cup sizes either just keep trying the implants until I say yes that's the one! As for the stretch marks I am expecting them to be fair as have lots everywhere from 3 children lol but he has recommended someone who does amazing waterproof camouflage make up for when I am wearing low cut tops etc. I asked him about laser surgery and he said it is a waste of money which I liked as it just proves how honest he is! Sorry for waffling everyone. Very excited about today now!! Will let you know how I get on!

Re: Unsure about size and worried about stretch marks!
Well had a brill consultation and decided on 390cc high profile nagor unders as I liked how they looked under my clothes. Think they are going to be pretty big and my surgeon says they are the limit for a natural look for me. I trust him completely and know that the end result will be fantastic. May book a 3rd consultation nearer the time to be sure but feeling pretty confident that they are big enough for me but not too big! Deposit paid, date booked. Feeling very excited!!

Took a work shirt with me and I was busting out of it! Think the customers might notice when I return to work afterwards
