Stretch Marks Empty Stretch Marks

Mine seem to have appeared more noticble yesterday and today. I asked PS before surgery if I could use bio oil and he said he would tell me when I could. They where there before (however where quite deep pitted) and was hoping they had filled out. They still look fab tho so trying not to be disappointed. I just know people can be rude and will assume it was boob job. xxx

hi 👋 ..i dont know when u had your op done but i presume it was recently. I would have thought that using bio oil shouldnt be a problem providing your scars are kinda healed. I also wouldnt worry too much regarding people presuming u have a boob job because of stretch marks, loads of women have them due to teenage growth spurts, weight gain and loss, pregnancy etc...slather that bio oil on, its great stuff!...I used it when i had my boob job and started using it on the stretch marks on my tummy and definatley seen a marked difference. x

I've been using a little Bio Oil on mine already.
Just a thin layer though, make sure you keep it away from your dressings/incisions.
I alternate using Bio Oil and Palmer's Cocoa Butter for stretch marks. I can't tell you if it works as I haven't developed stretch marks, it's just as a preventative measure for me.

My stretch marks that I have from breast feeding appeared quite red again early post-op, but they do settle back to how they were before once everything settles hun, just a silvery line.

You'll be fine using Bio-oil on the breast, but don't get it anywhere near your incisions hunni as it can put you at risk of infection. xxx

Honestly ladies, stretch marks are mostly genetic and the only things that actually get rid of them are topical retinoic acid, chemical peels, and IPL skin treatment. Moisturizing lotions/creams/oils don't actually penetrate the skin deep enough to get rid of stretch marks. Sorry :(
