Itchy!
Hey everyone, i havent been on for a few days but im now almost 4 weeks post op and loving it and im very happy to say...for the first summer ever.... i have sweaty boobs!!!!! Haha Just reminds me i finally have them ( Ok so the sports bra and binder are a little warm in this weather but noway am i complaining! Bit of tissue in down cleavage at work is working wonders )
They are starting to itch but i cant figure out where as they're also quite numb, i know its where they are healing but would anti Histamines work for this?
I hope everyone else is well and enjoying the sunshine! x x x

Re: Itchy!
I feel your pain! I've been itching too! Might be worth trying antihistamines but i take them anyway due to hayfever so obviously not completely effective! I scratched a numb area so much it nearly bleed without me realising! It's subsided a bit now though and I just try my best to ignore it!

Re: Itchy!
Antihistamines can help, but don't buy name brand, ask for the ingredient, cetirizine or loratadine for non drowsy. Ice packs across the tops away from the incisions can also help the itchy.
I spent last summer with a wodge of tissue in my boobs constantly!

Re: Itchy!
I remember the itchy boob stage very well. It always seemed to be my numb patches which were the itchiest too! But I guess it's a good sign that everything healing. I also found that my itch/numb got dry & flaky too so I moisturised these areas which helped with the itching. My surgeon suggested that I used a cream like e45 or similar and I used the cream that my son uses for his dry skin/excema and that worked well.
I'm getting used to sweaty boob cleavage thing in this weather too as never bothered me before!
