Hi everyone
2 days ago I noticed a very large lump about 7cm across in righty, has become very sore too. Pretty sure its the breast tissue not the implant. Should I contact surgeon or go straight to gp who doesn't know ive had ba? xx

If you've found a lump, you want to see your gp. Surgeon won't be interested, and will send you to the gp. If you're worried, get down there as soon as possible.

Saw doctor today and have been given an urgent referral to hospital! thinks its a cyst but playing safe.  On the plus side he did compliment me on the new boobs and said wouldn't have known unless I told him.

Hi Pixiedust, went to the breast unit on Friday for my appointment, (4hrs!) They were very nice there and explained every step, had a gentle mammogram- due to implants, followed by an ultrasound scan. Lump turned out to be an abcess under the nipple so it was numbed and then drained of all the gunk which is being sent off for culture(should hear in a week if any probs) now on antibiotics for week. Had to remind each individual I saw at appointment that I had implants, especially the one with the needle as didn't want a puncture! Whole experience wasn't as scary as id expected, try not to worry too much, hope it all goes well this week, let me know how u get on xx

Hi so glad your ok and it was only abcess! Thanks for lettin me know what to expect,  its a bit scary when you dont know! Is there any risk to the implants throughout any of the procedures,  gettin a needle in to drian it sounds risky! xx
