Aww Hun, I can't answer as haven't had mine done yet. But hope you feel better soon. Someone told me you still feel ok to begin with as GA and painkillers all in your system still but after is when you notice it.
Are you a little tired too? That can make me teary.
Sure it will get better for you soon, rest up and think of your lovely new additions :) xx

Re: Is it usually more pain?
The first day I had mine done I didn't have any pain, by day 3 I DID cry and phoned the out of hours number as I was in so much pain! It doesn't last forever though and by day 5 it was definitely much better, by a week the pain was pretty much gone. The bruising lasted about 3 weeks but not painful, just tender when I touched it.
Hope your feeling better soon, x

Babycakes day 2 was my worst day! Just rest and try not to use your muscles. Try and drift in and out of sleep and stay on top of the painkillers at regular intervals! Day 3 I felt so much better so not long until you'll start feeling better I'm sure x

Re: Is it usually more pain?
Day 2 and 3 are usually worse than the first. Op day they normally put a local in after the op, plus you're on top dollar pain pills while they can watch you. As the anaesthetic starts to leave your system, you start to feel it. Plus the bruising starts to come out too. It'll be sore and make you emotional. But its all normal. Most girls find a turning point around day 5, so hang in there! Keep on top of your painkillers, even if you feel ok, and sleep as much as you possibly can. I spent the week with a travel pillow perma-attached so I could just nod off wherever I was!

Re: Is it usually more pain?
It can hit you hard with lack of sleep and emotions all over the place, every movement that uses pec muscles can for some be very painful!
As others have said keep on top of your pain killers, upper body movement to a minimum and nap when you can to catch up on lost sleep.
This time next week you should be feeling so much better ( I promise) so focus on that too when your having a bad day just to get you through. XXX

Re: Is it usually more pain?
Hang on in there Babycakes, it really does get better. I took painkillers around the clock to start with even if I wasnt in any discomfort at that point in time, I took them regularly and spaced apart. Sleeping was the worse thing and my v pillow was a god send. I was also prescribed tramadol which made me drowsy and so helped me get some rest. Take it easy and it does get better, I promise x

Re: Is it usually more pain?
If the painkillers are giving you heartburn, definitely try a swig of gaviscon, the stuff works wonders. Ibruprofen can also cause increased stomach acid, so cut back on that, or make sure you're taking it with or fter food.

Re: Is it usually more pain?
Oh excellent news. Don't let it fool you though, make sure you keep resting and don't overdo things, it's tempting to start pottering about at this stage. Get comfy with biscuits and a box set!
